Bonjour à tous,
Voici un hommage à Jean-Olivier Chénier (1806–1837), , patriote, et figure emblématique de la rébellion du Bas-Canada.
En décembre 1837, à Saint-Eustache, il prend les armes pour défendre les idéaux de justice, de liberté et d’autodétermination du peuple québécois.
Tombé au combat, il devient le symbole d’un courage indomptable et d’une lutte encore vivante dans notre mémoire collective.
J’ai écrit cette chanson pour un spectacle musicale dédié au Québec Libre en 1985. 
Elle est interprétée avec émotion par Louise Desrosiers.
Un  hommage à l’homme, au rêve, et à cette flamme qui ne s’éteint jamais.

Niamh has had the best first year she could have hoped for – releasing her debut album, 'An Old Fashioned Song', to much success on Radio, having five consecutive Number 1 Singles on iTunes, debuting her duet single with Johnny Brady on The Late Late Show and being compared to Imelda May by host Ryan Tubridy, winning two Newcomer Awards from Hot Country and The Leinster Entertainment Awards and now being nominated NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR at the RTE Irish Country Music Awards – this certainly has been a great first year!
The modest Dublin mother-of-two attributes a lot of her success to ‘The Dresses and The Shoes’!!! Niamh has a natural draw to the Country Look and Sounds that came out of Nashville in the 1960 era. Her retro fashion (and vocal) style is similar to that from the early days when female country singers left their permanent mark on the Country Music scener – ladies like Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn etc. and it is these powerful women that influence Niamh most!
Niamh said: “I was on the Late Late Show a while back and Ryan Tubridy introduced me as ‘The Imelda May of Country’ because of the dresses that I wear - I’ll take that’!!!
