Dagger Lee was a man of impeccable charm
He could coax the moon down from out of the sky
He’d looked the bull in the eye, offered flowers to the wind
But he’d happily let a caged bird die, Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang.

He was shot in his youth under sulphurous light
By his mothers who could flip on a dime
Fled to polishing chrome on auto’s far from home
But he could smell that he was running out of time

White dust on the mirror
Fresh pepper from the mill
Roll her down slow
The fat lady off the hill

Dagger Lee took a bus from Chinatown Rd
With a bag of black powder and gold
The night was alive with sparkling soft lights
But it was all just about to explode Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom.

Dagger Lee took a card out of Gallagh’s hand
He found the X that was marked on the back
After digging out his blade and counting all the loot
The blood  stained over five hundred grand
 

When the cops found the ring on the finger in the gutter
It had the seal of a dragon on a pearl
They looked at each other and both knew without words
They had to go talk to Dagger Lees girl

The doorstep was marble in the colour of cheese
Sympathy was no where to be found
As the black door peeped open the dicks muscled in
Demanding all inside hit the ground


Firecracker road
Studebaker full of holes
White Stetson red leather
Snow falling down cold

Dagger Lee had the world in the palm of his hand
Had regret and the devil on his back
When the moon turned away and the night flooded in
Dagger Lees life  wasn’t worth Jack
From underneath the door across the linoleum floor
Came the creeping of a rosy pool of blood
Dagger lee was all but gone by the first rays of sun
A 44 returned a life back to mud

More dirt down the drain

I am not a musician but music plays a very important role in my creative life! I am an artist/designer and music is my companion and my muse in the long hours I spend working in my studio!
