I sent Idris the resonator guitar part and he kindly allowed me to have some fun mixing his vocals and guitar with my track. As usual he has blown me away with his voice and his great feel for the blues. 

I really love the way he used my simple guitar part as a platform to approach this cover in a unique way and make it his own.

Wilson Pickett (March 18, 1941 – January 19, 2006) was an American R&B, soul and rock and roll singer and songwriter.

A major figure in the development of American soul music, Pickett recorded over 50 songs which hit the US R&B charts, and frequently crossed over to the US Billboard Hot 100. Among his best known hits are "In the Midnight Hour" (which he co-wrote), "Land of 1,000 Dances", "Mustang Sally", and "Funky Broadway".The impact of Pickett's songwriting and recording led to his 1991 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Pickett teamed up with established Philadelphia-based hitmakers Gamble and Huff for the 1970 album "Wilson Pickett In Philadelphia", which featured two hit singles, "Engine No.9" and "Don't Let The Green Grass Fool You", the latter selling one million copies.

I am not a musician but music plays a very important role in my creative life! I am an artist/designer and music is my companion and my muse in the long hours I spend working in my studio! 
I am immensely impressed and grateful for all the talented and inspiring musicians whose work graces this Cloud, and I will always re-post sounds that I love (and will listen to again) - knowing that others will enjoy them!
I feel slightly embarrassed and quite humbled when I receive such graceful messages of thanks from artists whose work I have re-posted - after-all, I am the one who is so inspired by the discovery of your brilliant music!!!
