Again, I guess the title gives it away. Strangely perhaps, influenced by a baroque opera I was listening to. Also again, you might have seen the solo video uploaded to both the Virtual Open Mic site and this site. This audio version features the considerable talents of Steve.

Looking back at the night we wrote “Coast." We were on a tour stop in San Francisco and decided to take some time to sing under the moon. The lines of the chorus “it’s out of my control, so I’m gonna coast for a little while,” were a reference to our gypsy lifestyle. Little did we know that 7 months later, on the day we release the song, they would be emblematic of our collective psyche. 

While we firmly believe that there are things you CAN control (your heart, your mind), the lyric serves as a reminder that sometimes you need to put down the paddle and let the river take you where it leads. And that’s something a lot of us need to hear right now. ❤️ -Gone Gone Beyond

It's Stones Covers Tuesday! When we were 20, my friend Micha and I had been spending dozens of hours in his small red car driving from gig to gig. The car had a tape deck, and the only tape we had was some Rolling Stones concert bootleg. Since then, this song has always been one of my favorites, and my take on it is to have added a bit more junkie feel.

As 2020 comes to close we are taking stock of life as it compares to a year ago. Nothing was as it seemed then, and likely nothing is now either. We are all deep inside a massive collective psychedelic journey. Good trip bad trip, all our paths overlap. 

On our new album, out now, we explore the idea that we are at the crux of a significant leg of this journey.  Like that moment in most every trip when you are faced with a fear or anxiety and must make a decision on how to proceed, the crux presents both crisis and opportunity.

The featured track here, "Common Ground” is about finding a place for us all to meet in these divisive times in hopes that we can unify and find a path forward.

Cooperation, communication and dialogue are key to unity and resilience.

On the Crux album we are taking musical chances. Some of the most personal songs we’ve written mixed with raw sketched out ideas, to full blown improvised compositions. This is our way of processing the radical changes that have become routine for all of us. This album represents our subconscious hopes and fears for the time ahead. What You Wanna Do

I am not a musician but music plays a very important role in my creative life! I am an artist/designer and music is my companion and my muse in the long hours I spend working in my studio! 
I am immensely impressed and grateful for all the talented and inspiring musicians whose work graces this Cloud, and I will always re-post sounds that I love (and will listen to again) - knowing that others will enjoy them!
