I don't normally do this, but Patchwork is one of my oldest tracks and one of my favourites. I wondered what it might sound like with better equipment and a stronger voice. All in all, I have to say, I am more than a little pleased by the result!

When Sean (http://soundcloud.com/something-memorable) suggested we do something together I was only too keen to work with him. Sean's work always resonated with me (we're probably stalked by the same demons) and I really felt it an honour. When he sent me the lyrics, it was almost immediate that the melody came - as if those lyrics set the melody by themselves. They were utterly moving, and when I hear them in song, I still get the shivers. Thank you so much Sean. And your arrangements are most superb indeed. What a pleasure working with you!

Inspiration:

I really liked the strumming pattern as it's something like nothing I've ever really experimented with before. The song is upbeat and kind of Summery but then it's also quite raw. I think at some parts you can hear the passion in my voice and that's what I wanted people to hear this time. :D
