Using rolling percussion and a thumping kick, Luigi’s four track EP starts with a bang as the title suggests; ‘Primo’ really is unbeatable! Luigi uses synth stabs that add character and finesse to this outstanding piece of music. ‘I Believe’ uses dubby drums and an infectious vocal to really tear things apart before dropping into a melodic synth section that will make anyone move. Tantra’s melodic groove synths help this early morning track really come into its own before the main melodic section, accompanied by strings, will take any clubber to their own dimension. Radio Slave readies a double A-side to mark the 100th release on Rekids this February.

Having recently celebrated ten years, the consistency of music on Matt Edwards’ Rekids is indisputable with releases from Nina Kraviz, Mr. G, David Morales, Peggy Gou and DJ Deep to name a few. Aside
from his A&R abilities Edwards’ extensive understanding of electronic music is evident in his various pseudonyms. Amongst these Radio Slave is easily his most illustrious and most fitting for the seminal label’s milestone 100th release.

Containing all the hallmarks of a Radio Slave production, ‘Another Club’ merges looped vocals with thudding kicks as echoing stabs and infectious hats work their magic. On the flip, ‘Feel The Same’ is a
funky slice of Detroit inspired house.

Japan’s DJ Shufflemaster joins Paco Osuna’s Mindshake imprint with a muscular techno single
featuring remixes from the label founder and Gary Beck.
One of his country’s most prolific techno producers, Tatsuya Kanamori has been making music for over
two decades. Having released on labels like Tresor, Ben Sims’ Theory Recordings and BPitch Control,
2014 saw Shufflemaster launch his Shiki Kyokai label, which plays host to his own material including
his Housedust Sound System moniker.
Demonstrating a raw aesthetic from the off, ‘ReWeekender’ is a medley of organic drums, whirring
effects and saxophone samples that generate a jazz inspired swing. BEK Audio boss Gary Beck’s
remix is dance and ominous by comparison, with its catastrophic synths and rumbling low-end, making
way for Paco Osuna’s low-slung reinterpretation that combines crunchy percussion with a thunderous
energy.
