Cosmic Boys of Montpellier, France are rapidly infiltrating the French techno scene and have seeped into North American territory with this new EP titled “I Don’t Care.” Their debut EP on refused. features infectious grooves, modulated vocals, deep basslines, and crisp percussions. “Origin” features pronounced hi-hats, a dark, groovy bassline, thunderous claps, and manipulated satanic vocals. Title track “I Don’t Care” grows on a deep, down-tempo bassline, and a filtered kick. Spacey effects and ominous chopped up vocals give the track density and mind-blowing energy. “Together” kicks the energy back into high gear as a strongly pronounced kick leads us into the last original track of the EP. Winding synths, and reverberated claps give this track motion. The EP also features a dark, rolling techno remix of “I Don’t Care” from Russian producer Ricky Ebner.

Its been a busy time for Rob Hes since his last appearance on SCI+TEC just over a year ago. His EP ‘The Prophecy’ kicked off a strong run of releases that’s seen him feature on Tronic, ELEVATE, KD Raw and a debut with Josh Wink’s Ovum Recordings. Today the Dutchman returns to SCI+TEC with his latest wares and shows he’s learnt even more ’Tricks of The Trade’.

The cavernous feeling of the title track envelops the listener while its echoing gong and rolling bassline create its fierce groove. Rob ramps things on ‘Who’s The Wolf’, with its sinister synths devastating drive, before we’re treated to the bouncing single note melody and fantastic finalé of ‘The Greater Good’. 

With ‚Tricks of The Trade’ Rob rolls out another SCI+TEC smash confirming, as if it were needed, just why he’s one of the hottest and most in demand producers of today.

Noir's comments on our remix for Kiko: "I really liked the productions of Secret Cinema & Egbert individually and when they started teaming up for collaborations I had to ask if it was possible to get them on remix duties. When they heard my idea (Kiko's
Grenoble track from 2015) they accepted right away. I was pleasantly surprised when I heard the remix for the first time. I didn't expect the direction they chose to take on this remix at all but it turned out really, really good and they managed to create the exact kinda vibe i
like in today's tech.
