The unstoppable trio was back at work on Mallorca in Pig&Dan's techno ministry to create another colourful techno anthem while Alberto Ruiz was literally next door to rework last year's anthem 'Soulstice'. Monika Kruse, the german Queen of Techno doing serious negotiations with the two Elevate ministers definitely makes sense and should reign the techno world with all its power.

Siles and Rosper are Spanish producers based in Valencia. For many years they have represented their music at the famous Baracca events. This time the Spanish friends get together and deliver two collaboration techno tracks with their vision of techno music. Mladen Tomic is the Bosnian Beatport-topper who took you out of KD Music’s ‘Jade Coma’ and remixed Vagale & Richards’ ‘Tonkatsu’ for KD Music volume 2.

The Night Light Records owner and donator of Balkan blazers to Terminal M, Definitive Recordings and 100% Pure, sets off a ‘Groove Flash’, standing for all that’s good in tribal techno. Sealing arenas tight with bass elastic and thoughts of snapping thermometers, Tomic’s one-track mind ploughs on like a gigantic worm with the wriggle to match.

‘Piece of Funk’ is both a close sibling and a competitive rival, endowed with another oversized portion of buoyant bottom end, and whose focus feeds off the cavernous without making a pitstop for anyone.

Premiere: The Reason Y - Mamba Valley

Fade continue to impress with their early run of releases, and behind this latest one is boss Joran van Pol, who calls in long time friend Whyt Noyz for a remix.

This new project from van Pol comes after amassing a fine discography with releases on labels like Minus, Rejected, Sci+Tec and Ideal Audio. As such he has the support of all the big hitters who often reach for his tunes and as a DJ he is just as in demand, with key slots everywhere from Space Ibiza to TimeWarp all behind him. 

This EP was written in a new studio in Amsterdam which has given him fresh impulse. The title 'Meta' refers to the abstract sound of the track, it's abstract indeed, with industrial noises and alien lifeforms detailing the stripped back and dry techno grooves. It's one to get into your head in a dark warehouse and is a fine opener.

The top remix comes from Whyt Noyz, who will be the next artist to release on this label. His back catalogue takes in essential labels like SCI+TEC and Minus and his fresh remix here really impresses. Dry hits, spaceships taking off and sweeping white noises blasts all make for a tense and atmospheric techno trip.

The alluring 'Estimate' is another widescreen techno roller devoid of human life, with machine sounds, clacking metallic hits and turbulent synths all adding up to an eerie bit of sonic landscaping that is designed to lock in big crowds.

One again FADE and van Pol have come up with some stark and standout techno sounds here.

Techno DJ/producer Joran van Pol has a somewhat special story. His debut release ‘Untitled 2’ was signed to Richie Hawtin’s Minus, followed by Joran's seminal release 'Faded'. Where do you go from there? Well, with the ‘Implicit E.P.’ on Dubfire’s Sci+Tec, several releases on Joris Voorn’s label Rejected, a remix and full E.P. ’Immediate E.P.’ on Matador’s Rukus and a collab with Maksim
Dark ‘Thrill’ on Senso Sounds. ‘Derelict’ on Pan-Pot's Second State was added in 2020.

Meanwhile, Joran kept working tirelessly to hone his craft in the studio. Inspired by the current wave of bare and heavy techno, he managed to create a new iteration of his sound. His stark and heavy, yet minimalistic, techno marks the resurgence of Joran van Pol.

Perhaps even more so than his production efforts, Joran has built quite the reputation when it comes to his DJ-sets. Starting his career at the infamous underground club Studio 80 in Amsterdam, he quickly transitioned to big venues and events like Awakenings, Dockyard, Tomorrowland, Fuse Brussels, Welcome To The Future, Loveland and Timewarp.
