Berlin based duo Nightvisions return with their second release on the intimate imprint Schakal Recordings. After debuting the Twin Peaks EP in 2016 they now present the follow-up EP made for the early mornings of a misty festival stage.

The title track 'A Form Of Insanity' starts out with a haunting soundscape and progresses with a drifting lead line. Accompanied by an ongoing percussion groove the atmosphere unfolds and a vocal line of Alan Watts emerges. Distorted horns and energetic melodies follow and carve themselves through the composition.

The second track 'Into The Woods" is an energetic yet atmospheric journey through a dark and obscure forrest.

AntiAlias' remix of 'A Form Of Insanity' combines the jungle percussions with a gloomy bassline. Distant howling and reduced vocal abstracts are followed by a distored lead line and proceed into a dark and stomping groove.

MNL's Spring selection is here; a fresh EP packed with progressive house goodness from all over the world!

This editions matadors are Zalvador from Colombia, Argentinian artists Alejandro Conde and Alan Cerra, Dutch duo Around Us and Smirre, the artist from Hungary who makes his return on MNL after last years 'Falling Parts' single.

They provide a great mixture of anything from deeper, more intelligent stuff, right up there towards more peak time dance floor material. Play 'em loud and make us proud!

'A unique combination of vocalist, producer and DJ, that's what describes Israel based artist Rona the best. She's progressing and developing as an independent artist who does it all on her own. Rona has a special, soulful vocal tone that she envelops in her melodic and afro productions that give a perfect balance between the singer and the producer.

Her new single is titled 'We Are' and marks her return on the Dutch Manual Music imprint after having made her label debut last December with the release of 'Sun On Me' on the Manualism XIII album.

LevK provides a melodic tribal afro workout whilst Kamilo Sanclemente & Mauro Aguirre please the progressive house massive.'

Berlin Club Culture is facing the biggest challenge in its history. On Friday, the 13th of March, all of Berlin´s nightlife was officially shut down to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Since then, about 9000 employees, as well as tens of thousands of artists have been without work and wages, and the existence of many of the places that give Berlin its identity is threatened.

As a reaction to the closing of all Berlin clubs and to the rest of the world being in quarantine, Berlin is showing its support and solidarity by bringing the biggest possible digital club to your home.

On our final release of 2020, Marc Holstege and newcomer duo Jaquomo each offer strikingly tender original tracks, while remixers Moonwalk and Fabian Krooss rework them with dancefloors past and future in mind. The result is a split EP that bridges the gap between the intimate, highly personal experience of today and the nostalgia-driven hope for tomorrow. 

On Marc Holstege's 'The Boy In The Garden', melancholic strings rise and fall endlessly over a slow breakbeat and shimmering synths. But it's the soulful, contemplative male vocal sitting at the song's core that reaches straight for the heart – and won't let go again. 'Wolves (Sunday Morning Version)' is equally touching, as the Dutch producer guides another delicate vocal through a dazzling slow-beat arrangement with profound results. For their remix, the Italian duo Moonwalk then strip 'The Boy In The Garden' of its sentimental atmospheres, cunningly remoulding the vocals to fit their razor-sharp and cinematic peak-time sound.

Jaquomo's 'Replace Space' is sure to run on repeat. Here, Caro Mac's vocal incites our memories for those lost loves as it floats over pensive chords and a crunchy trip-hop beat. 'Close & Hide' is pitched-down piano house accentuated by another ingenious use of vox, making it just as moreish. Rounding things off with a bang, Fabian Krooss reimagines 'Replace Space' as a playful italo-disco opus of arpeggiated basslines and wonky synths.
