German act Rezident delivers a stunning rework of Ben Böhmer’s standout single ‘Erase’ with British singer and producer lau.ra. 

Ben Böhmer and his sophomore album ‘Begin Again’ are becoming fast favourites staple in the world of electronic music. The album has accumulated over 40m streams, and Ben has sold out all dates on his 30-date headline tour, with a total of 35,000 tickets purchased. His stellar run continues as he takes to the festival circuit this summer, appearing at renowned festivals such as Junction 2, Rock In Rio, EDC Las Vegas and îLESONIQ. 

Rezident, who has supported Ben on the European leg of his album tour, now rewords one of the most loved singles from the album. His remix of ‘Erase’ maintains the dreamy and atmospheric sounds of the original, whilst adding an upbeat energy that acts as a perfect counterpoint to lau.ra’s dreamy vocals.

‘Erase’ (Rezident Remix) is out on Anjunadeep on May 25, ahead of the full ‘Begin Again (Remixed)’ package, which is available to pre-order now, ahead of its release on June 15.

The lead track ‘Pearls’ is led by an infectious, gritty flute motif that grabs your ears and almost forces you to smile with how happy and bouncy it feels. Underpinned with a thumping drum track and a big, bold bass line, this peak time record is a club anthem in the making. 

‘Byson’, on the flip-side is just as club ready as ‘Pearls’ but with a few more of the melodic elements that we’re used to, from an obviouslydan record. Reverbed vocal snippets dance over classic sounding piano stabs, supported by yet another big old bass line.

Kyle was this guy who I found at an open mic poetry night and he did this unbelievably beautiful thing about meeting this girl for the first time. Describing the bar as tho it was like a war zone of like absolute chaos. The line ‘in this smoking chaos our shoulder blades kissed’ is as close to perfection as 8 words can get.
Kyle was also then super sweet about it when I told him I’d re pitched him into a whole damn song lol 😬🙏🤗🙏

The Blessed Madonna and I had a chat on zoom a few months back now and she was talking in the infinite and naturally poetic way that she does about, well really how everrrrrryone is feeling! And because we were writing it was being recorded! So I sampled it! And tuned her to be singing at times and I just reeallllyyy love it. And also an enormous big ups to the great Boston Bun who we produced it with.
