Oh, the adventures you will go on, little princess

This was composed for the 8-bit Music Theory Discord server weekly composition challenge "Prompt and Circumstance", a story-based composition challenge.

So.  This is a fictionalization of an event that occurs to me almost every night.  
Perhaps someone out there can relate.  
We begin with the innocent young J, attempting to fall asleep (one of her worst skills).  
We hear a soft lullaby, accompanied by staccato sheep hopping over a fence, 
but something is wrong, it is not working.  
Frustrated, she tosses and turns and eventually gives up when her stomach grumbles, 
and she realizes what she is missing.  
She gets up and attempts to quietly tiptoe down the stairs, 
where she carefully rifles through the pantry looking for the item she needs.  
It is painstaking work attempting to quietly and gently rearrange the solid objects cluttering up a pantry.  
She worries that the sought-after item may not even be there, but then she finds it.  
A can of delicious soup!
(here a listener should imagine their favorite brand and flavor of canned soup, 
and don't pretend you don't like canned soup). 
She begins to microwave the soup.  
So excited, she does a little improv jig in the kitchen since no one is watching.  
And a beep beep!  The soup is ready! Finally, it is time to consume the soup.  
She makes a triumphant return to her room, where she enjoys filling and warming her stomach with soup.
Satiated and relaxed, she finally drifts off into a tasty savory warm sleep.  
The end :P
