Off the cassette "A Night With My Aunt's Dolls," a 3-track EP I recorded in one night at my grandfather's house in Maryland. I was staying in my late aunt's room, surrounded by her childhood toys. She was the other artist in the family, and always supportive of my endeavors, though she passed away earlier than we would have wanted from an aggressive form of cancer. I think some of her energy was still in that room because these songs just came straight through me, almost like all I had to do was be present for them to emerge.
