Breathing

Set over the course of a single wedding in the English countryside, this album isn’t about the couple getting married — it’s about everyone else.

Through arrivals, reunions, rituals, speeches, dances, late nights and quiet departures, the songs trace what happens around a wedding: old friendships resurfacing, new ones forming by accident, belief briefly working even for the unconvinced, and the subtle realisation that some relationships change simply because time has passed.

Nothing dramatic happens.
Nobody’s life is overturned.
But by the time the last song fades, something has shifted.

This is an album about thresholds — the ones we cross deliberately, and the ones we notice only after we’ve crossed them.

Queer as Manchester tells the everyday story of queer life in the city — the nights out, the chosen family, the struggles, the laughs, and the moments that quietly shape you.

This is the chapter where I’m Still Breathing first lived — and that matters. Because beneath the music and the movement, this is also about mental health, about reaching out, about friends checking in on each other when things get heavy. About staying when it would be easier to disappear. About being seen.

There are hard moments here — because real life has them — but this is ultimately a story of survival, care, and community. Of finding your people. Of dancing through it anyway. Of Manchester being Manchester: tough, kind, loud, loving, and unapologetically queer.

If you’re listening and you’re struggling — you’re not alone.
And you don’t have to carry it on your own.


7, I'm Still Breathing

Hey there! I'm a singer-songwriter and producer based in NYC. I'm originally from Deerfield, IL, where I grew up playing piano, singing, etc. After high school I went to Cornell University and spent most of my time writing and performing music. I teach piano, songwriting, and music production for my day job, and the rest of the time I write and produce my own songs :)
