Guest Mix Vol. 262 (SoulTec) Exclusive DnB Session

Just in time for the vernal equinox, I cut this exclusive liquid mix to mark the inaugural launch of FED, a brand new online publication hosted on the Substack platform. With this mix I wanted to slowly ease into things. First few cuts are deep groovy halftime beats, after which we move into some jazzy and melodic nice weather liquid. About halfway, we pick up the pace a little and move into chunky, driving liquid rollers before lowering the temp at the end again. Several personal fave classics in the mix, alongside some brand new things. Tried to keep it fun, light and funky overall. Cheers!

FED — Spring 2024 Mix

Coming up as a raver on the Oslo underground club scene, Mira picked up the decks and moved from the dancefloor to the booth in 2012. In the years since, she has made a name for herself on the dnb scene in record time, fuelled by heavy ambition and a deep love for the genre. She has been gigging in cities from Berlin, Ibiza, Manchester to St. Petersburg, playing at festivals like Fusion (DE), Sonar, Outlook, HotHotHot!, Midnight Sun and Solar. Been supporting acts like Fabio & Grooverider, Dillinja, Calyx & Teebee, Noisia, DJ SS, Marcus Intalex, Jubei, DRS, Calibre and Tony Anthem. Alongside gigging abroad, she is founder of Ladies First - Bass Music Movement, and was resident in ROOM 101 and Viking Junglist Massive in Norway. From 2014 to 2015, she had her own weekly dnb radio show called "On.My.Mark" at DNBHeaven. Her musical style was based in liquid funk, but as she matured her sound got deeper and darker. Don't let the smile fool you, she is a proper junglist through and through!

DnB Girls Podcast #50 - ARIETTA

The final part of my ‘rave dreaming’ mix series. Just like the others it centres around Acid House, Oldskool Rave, Breakbeat Hardcore & early 90s Jungle Tekno. There are a load of recent releases in the mix too though - so expect some Electro, Bass, Techno, Dub Step & mind bending Breakcore to keep you on your toes. As always it’s is a straight up single take DJ set thrown down using two technics 1200s and a Rane 62 mixer. I've thoroughly loved making this mix-series, taking a trip back to the numerous rave genres that've been pumped into my lug-holes over the decades.
