Raver Jack is off the hook with its quirky sounds and dope vocals.
 
Germany’s Sven Tasnadi has long been an associate of Moon Harbour and its sister label Cargo Edition, as well as released his deep take on house on labels like Smallville and Poker Flat. Here he returns to the label for the second time this year following his joint EP with Dan Drastic, and Stop Talking features two original tracks plus remixes from label favourite Sable Sheep and electronic pioneer Steve Bug.

First up is the title track, a lively brew of jangling and tinkling percussive edges underpinned with firmly rooted drums. Like a mirage on a hot day, the percussion glistens above the slinky house beats as steel drum like melody line rises up and down throughout the mix. It’s fresh and colourful and is the sort of thing that gets and keeps people dancing.

The first of the two remixes comes from Poker Flat chief Steve Bug. He goes in a little firmer with his re-interpretation, adding weight and thump to the kick drums and threads a more surging, late night melody stream into the track. It makes for a fluid and infectious groove before Sable Sheep ups the ante once again. His chattering claps jitter across the track’s surface as deep and loopy bass vamps bring plenty of depth to proceedings. Tooting melody stabs help bring a ravey edge and means there is a version of this track for every different situation.

Finally, Sven Tasnadi turns in “Raver Jack”, a tight and minimalist arrangement that has curious synth hooks and alien sounds buried deep within the chunky drums. Building ever more frantically to a tripped out peak of weird sounds and bendy tones, it’s the sort of track that stands out from a set and stays lodged in your brain long after it finishes.

This is another fantastic offering from Sven Tasnadi made all the more essential thanks to the fantastic remixes from Steve Bug and Sable Sheep.

With great anticipation co label owner Renato finally drops his debut EP on Chocolat Records in emphatic style. A two track EP “Flori” including a remix from AFFECT!

We open the EP with the title track Flori. With double kicks and an ominous arp Renato starts us off enticing our senses. The lead baseline is introduced with a calming attitude as the grooving percussion builds, as we lead into the break this groover is determined as new arps are introduced and the lead synth takes the stage. The composition keeps one engaged with automated elements at every turn, harmonious in it's natural state, “Flori" has an undeniable flow with sounds that can not be better suited for one another. An intelligent and classy dance floor energizer that will have one throwing their hips into a journey.

Next in line “Terra” joins “Flori" in Renato’s offering. Terra starts off with an airiness and a sense of wonder until we are reminded it's time to get the body moving with a solid kick and two swaying arps. A deep lying baseline holds the movement together, while the percussion progresses. That sense of wonder is revisited with the lead synth singing a sweet melody as other synths and arps pan and automate beautifully in the foreground. The type of number to enjoy for a different reason every time.

The later is AFFECT!’s take on Renato’s “Flori”. Without hesitation we jump straight in with the main arp and a teasing kick, hat combination. As we build up to the break other arps are introduced along with the lead synth as we approach the first drop with a deep saw baseline. The lazy percussion promotes much groove as this remix progresses. Harmonies are later introduced with new elements in this wonderful take on Renato’s “Flori”.

Therefore we're glad to announce the arrival of Innellea, a highly talented production team from Munich which has been leaving some marks on the scene with their 2016 singles on Musica Autonomica and Underyourskin Records.Lillith, the first track on this three track single, is on a quite groove tip, presenting a hot, stripped down take on TechHouse as a solid foundation for intricate melodic structures which are ever building up until a warm and welcoming vintage synth motif caters heaps of bass for bubbling crowds.With the title track Apate the Munich-based duo brings in more decent tropical heat for heaving dancefloors which are getting an extra thrill from ever background percussions with a slightly latin-influenced twist, a distinct, repetetive motif, a super dense athmosphere and a sexy as fuck lead organ catering the ultimate, hormone-driven swing to set every club on fire. Finally Imignie weighs in a slightly more futuristic flavour, combining super dry bassdrums and micro sweeps in its intro sequence, later accompanied by a overwhelmingly climactive bass drone and spiralling synths sharing space with mystic atmospheres, all together taking us and the ravers on the floor to new, unexplored realms of out consciousness.

Another premiere on the label by Erebus. One of the more energetic tracks of this compilation. A catchy groove is created right from the start by smart use of hihats, only to be followed by an even more enticing melody. It does not take long for a bassline to take over completing the track to its full power. This will be a killer on the dance floor for sure!
