Demo Monday- The Halo

I remember a handful of family members were alcoholics growing up. My brothers, cousins, and I thought it was the funniest shit seeing them drunk. Beyond the jokes though life was hitting these people hard so the only way to simmer the angst was to poison their mind. Often memories were the arguments between my parents over the stupidest shit, but of course the cause of it was the drinking igniting the stupidity to take over. Some of these people were losers as well, often finding it amusing to get us in trouble due to lack of power they held in their own life.Though like all teenagers, you go through the phase of acting a fool. A great memory of mine was hanging outside a corner store on Halloween and asking strangers to buy us a 6 pack. One guy agreed and brought us a bottle of md2020 and we started geeking cause we were just bullshitting. It was the first time I had ever gotten a buzz going but luckily my parents didn't find out or I would've gotten my ass whooped lol. It was a simple time in my life but alcohol to this day just isn't my thing, just a phase.

Week 3 I didn't really post much because Im currently working on a November release so a lot of recording and mixing is taking time. I have been writing a lot more though in my free time. Focused on this project and also thinking about the future as well, so my mind is all over the place tryna keep up with content while also tryna keep shit fresh. All BS aside work is being put in, just not how I visioned it would be going.

I know I held out for pretty much the whole year tbh it was kinda the worst one life wise, but for creating and the writing aspect, it was my best by far.

This one I’m going for 9 tracks. It symbolizes the number of people that are important to me and  also the balance of finishing something I started.

Demo Monday "Slow Down"

I recorded this sometime back in April and didn’t know where I wanted to go with it. I finished the song but felt like it wasn’t completed. Plus if you listen clearly you can hear the rushed attempt at the recording with the awful clicks in the background. 🤷‍♂️🫤

I know it has potential to be a great story but I shelved it and moved on til I thought I had a better direction for it. Technically this is a demo but enjoy the visuals as well.

Awaken My Love” is a concept of whatever happens, happens for a reason. No matter what you change or try to get better at, the being in control decides whether you prevail or perish.

I try to bring real life struggles to relate to while also making the story something to think about. The song is complete for the writing portion, but I do have to go back and re-record some parts as you can hear a couple clicks in this demo.

2025 I will drive back to this spot and look back on my achievements for the year…🍾🎉🫨

This is the rollout for the next tape finally dawg. I built up a catalogue the last year holding off on these records. I been through a lot of shit to expose and story tell in just 11 months so I’m ready to let go of this rage.

This record will be on the tape but this isn’t the single I’m starting with. “Hallelujah” will be the single and I’ll start promotion on that next week.

Sometimes you gotta appreciate what you got, but of course in the moment you feel like nobody gives a shit. You've heard the story about struggle numerous of times, and the different things people have done to elevate over it. Mine is more neutral, mine is more going with the flow and hoping for the best until you realize ain't nothing gonna change. People get comfortable and pray and clock out and repeat the whole process as if they're slowly elevating. But with 4 kids, bills to pays, and older people to care for, how do you have time to think of ways to better your situation. 

The "Hallelujah" concept is a boy is born to bring royalty to a family forgotten to the real world. Only he believes he can save them all...but it shouldn't be that way.

Over these last couple of tracks I’ve made the term “there will never be enough” my relatable line lately, but as of now I relate to the line “you don’t want it bad enough” and it’s true. I was focused on perfection and busting my ass to replenish the cash I was spending recklessly.
Greed is contagious, an addiction to whatever it is that you seek, but it isn’t permanent. If you knew you had only 24 hours to live, would you still be greedy? 
You’ve grown into the routine that tomorrow will still come, and that you have another shot to collect as much as you could, but when it’s gone, what then…
The opportunist turn ethical, only to die young, not knowing that your shot at humanity was taken by another greedy motherfucker.
Regardless of how much you make or the limit you set for your self, there will always be more.

This was a 3 song drop but we're working with this one right now because I really believe I can do something with it. I pretty much go into detail about a couple of things like any other story I've done but I think the way I delivered is what gave it that depth to make you feel what I'm saying.

This was one of those break time sessions where I was in a mental state of explaining my current mindset. I don't believe it's a sad song. This would be my version of the 10 ten toes down freestyle but I was late to the trend. I wanted to do something simple to be relatable to the listener.

I want to introduce the “Into The Night” tape with this intro song. This one is very different from the other releases that I’ve done only because it is more melody than rap. The story will build throughout this tape, but for now this is something to drive late night to.
