In addition to the "Best Of Ambient" compilation from John Beltran, two remixes are made to honour one of our favourite electronic music producers of all time. The a-side gives us a reinterpretation of "Brilliant Flood" from rising star Kassem Mosse together with his studiomate Mix Mup. This remix smoothly pimps up the track whilst leaving the atmosphere of the original intact. On the b-side, Sven Weisemann made a composition as a tribute to John Beltran, which contains elements of different original cuts. The result is Sven's Glorify Tribute Mix, a dreamy epic adventurous nine-minute masterpiece in three parts.

A heartfelt dedication to his son Isaias, ‘Aspirations for Young Xol’ takes us through the life of a pillar in the electronic music community - Santiago Salazar. From his formative years spent in California to his connection with Detroit and the passing of a childhood friend, the long-player’s tracks signpost the musician’s significant experiences, both positive and negative. This meaningful body of work was released digitally on Pastel Voids and now Rekids release the album on wax.

‘Saturated Fear’ sets a deep tone for the LP, flanging melodies and echoing claps float through the composition before the album’s title track ‘Aspirations for Young Xol’ offers haunting arpeggios with occasional acidic overtones which are cleverly offset by beautifully designed lead synth transitions. ‘Bloodlines’ follows a similar musical vein with delayed bass riffs that are suspended above shimmering hihats and a weighted kick.

Santiago provides three beatless pieces throughout, which digress into more emotional territory whilst offering brief respite from his heavier drum work. ‘Xol’s Pain’ combines orchestral strings and swelling synthesisers which build tension with a subtly complex, evolving motif. Both ‘Dark Matter’ and ‘Ode to Stinson’ use arresting atmospheres, warped arpeggios and ethereal pads which lull the listener into a retrospective mood.

An intensity builds in the later tracks, a gritty but powerful low end provides a solid foundation in ‘Orange Blossom Thump”, eventually making way for a hectic and elastic lead synth before ‘Pachuco Dub’ displays drones that build a dissonant pressure in which the complex tom rhythms and rolling hi hats can grow. ‘Sarah Rivera’ hypnotises with its delectable chord progressions and complimentary melodies which seem to float above a rigid drum composition to close the album with style.

Yarni’s ‘Entkommen’ was a well-received debut album on this label last year, and now comes the first of two remixes EPs. AWITW, ATDHE, Harmonious, Lauer, Tales of Voodoo and IPG V Yarni all serve up brilliant new versions ahead of part two in September.
Night Noise regular AWITW opens things up and channels his Balearic senses on ‘Agitator’ creating a CFCF like vibe. It’s awash with rippling synths and beach-y grooves to carry you away.
Next up, IPG follow on from their recent disco hit with Hot Toddy, joining forces here with Yarni for a remix of ‘Granny’s Garden’ that is blissed out and dreamy thanks to the heavenly chords and gentle percussion. Then it’s, ATDHE a newcomer from Yarni’s hometown of Sheffield who breathes new life, broken beats & shimmering melodies into ‘Waterfall’.
For his remix, Dutch producer ‘Harmonious’ takes us on a beautifully harmonic journey with rubbery kicks powering along the thoughtful groove. After that is another newcomer in the form of Tales Of Voodoo who take the delightful ‘Goin Live in Rabat’, strip it back and turn it into a percussion heavy, Sergio Mendes styled slice of Latin tinged dance floor action. Last of all is an alternative disco remix of ’28 Years of It’ from Tuff City Kid member Lauer who uses all his know how to cook up a euphoric remix with big retro chords and effortlessly summery vibes. 
All six of these remixes offering something different but equally essential for the dance floor and mark another superb release from Night Noise Music.

Under the glow of the moonlight there was a haphazard creature who flew with a sense of chaotic disarray. It buzzed and whizzed between the flickering lights in the hope that it might find some safe place to land amidst the outback. It was a nocturnal fly and lived only for the evening hours in which it might find the glimmering buzz of electrics and the whirring machines. It was drawn to the warmth like some sort of strange, abrupt thermal magnet, small and riotous. 

Brussels-based label Basic Moves return with a collection of tracks from Circadian Rhythms AKA DJ Deg, that charts music the Belgian producer crafted between 1989 and 1994. The six tracks represent his own personal take on the sounds of his NYC and Chicago house heroes at the time; think proto-house and hazy techno. Basic Moves have unearthed these dusty ninetees gems and pressed them on a special double LP for your listening pleasure...

Rhythm is the foundation for Chilean producer and DJ Jorge C.
The strong rhythmic bonds formed from an early childhood fascination and adrenaline from the sound of the drums to the innovations of the electro mono machine still carry an impact on the production of the long time producer.
These connections along with the influences of old pioneers like Eno or Vangelis have shaped an unusual musical palette that is distinct.
The founding of his label ​Ojodeapolo has given him the room to explore his own pathways embracing two worlds from 90s Detroit/Chicago house to future jazz, rare funk and disco. As a performer and DJ Jorge C has traveled to various places in South America like D-Edge at Sao Paulo , Europe playing at Paloma Bar Berlin and also in Japan.
He had releases on labels in vinyl format like: Matrix Recordings (Detroit), DeepArtSounds (Zürich) and Dopeness Galore (Amsterdam). His own label Ojodeapolo.cl has been too a platform to spread his own work and to include the participation of producers around the globe that he respects.
