In this podcast, I discuss the topics of Musical Borrowing and the controversy that involves copyrighted material. In a world where technology and music work as one, the incorporation of new methods in making music has not only brought out a new form but more conflict in regards to musical validity. Specifically discussing mashups, I explore this new form of art as well as argue that musical creativity can be limited when it comes to issuing licenses. Of course artists like Kanye West and Jay Z can come up with incredible music with samples; but that's because they can afford to pay off original composers. 
But what about the up and coming artists that can't afford to? Where do they fall in the overall mix?

Over the summer I began teaching myself the piano and came up with this little snippet. This is what 3 hours of MIDI and a brownie make. Obviously it's only a small sequence of patterns but I'm hoping to develop it. Enjoy...

Since the commencement of the production of this song, I can truly say that it has changed and morphed into this soothing and heart-racing track. Thank you to everyone who has been continuously supporting me through the making of this piece. As of now, I feel that the song has all the correct blend of elements and I like how they all fuse with each other! I might need some help EQing the drum breaks but other than that... ENJOY! :)
