That this is more than a foretaste to their upcoming album is quickly undestood if you know that both Glitz guys have been the most active remixers during the last years. With their interpretation of the original songs by Italoboyz, Douglas Greed, The Hacker, Dapayk or Lee van Dowski among others, they always seem to surprise effortlessly. Perhaps it is the ease and the breeze of functionality with which they make their way through the different genres. Always a little bit catchy, always without distorting their own unique acoustic atlas. But presumably it is just the sincere enjoyment of music.

We're extremely proud to announce the next EP on Desert Hearts Records comes from legendary Los Angeles based DJ & Producer, Doc Martin. It's mind blowing to think Doc has been DJing professionally for longer than most of the Desert Hearts Crew has been alive. After all these years in the game he's still as relevant as ever and continues to raise the bar with his eclectic productions and DJ sets.

Even though Lee Reynolds has been groovin' to Doc Martin jams for over 25 years, it wasn't until Doc played our Desert Hearts Festival in 2015 that he really became part of our family. Everything about Doc embodies the Desert Hearts spirit and at the time we couldn't believe the wonderful things he was saying about our community. The fact he was a legend in the scene was almost like a validation of sorts that what we were doing was real and actually had merit. Since then, Doc has become a regular at our parties and has kind of taken on a mentor role to Mikey and the rest of the crew. It's a dream come true to welcome Doc's debut release on the label titled "Monday At Old Miami".

Inspired by a long, weird trip at the legendary Old Miami party in Detroit, the title track features an evolving acid bassline to go along with the ultra psychedelic vocals written and recorded by Lillia. Remix duties come from Mikey Lion & Lee Reynold's first collaboration together to go alongside a much darker, trippier remix from legendary producer in his own right, Joeski.

Start opening your third eyes. This one gets twisted.

Alex Piccini was born in a small town near Venice, a city strongly influenced by house and techno music thanks to well known clubs such as Go-bang, Movida and Muretto. Clubs that brought this music into Italy for the first time. As Alex grew up listening to this music, he became passionate for the scene; what led him to become a DJ. 

A1_Thunderbird - Funky Tech House at its Finest. Alex definitely knows how to capture a groove with a infectious hook in the background of the mix. To top it off, top quality arrangement with constantly evolving elements act as ear candy the more you listen the more it grows on you.

B1_Something to Say - A Heavier Tech House affair, more sporadic with no real hook, just BEATS and a penetrating baseline for those you like the running bottom effect.
