Born and raised in South Africa, Jono fell in love with all things music at a young age. Having a mother with singing, guitar, and piano skills, she helped show him a side to music most people never experience.

MINI INTERVIEW:

What was the intention behind your set?
"To showcase my productions and sound as an artist as this set is made primarily of my own productions."

How would you describe your approach to Social Media as an artist?
"I think over the years we’ve seen many formats of posts and how to increase engagement etc and I personally have seen that out of the many formats there are when it comes to a release and how to promote it. There are only a few ways that are optimal and I'm all for social media promotion. It allows us as artists to reach people we otherwise wouldnt and that’s incredibly valuable."

Who inspired you the most on your path as an artist?
"I would have to say artists such as Tale of Us, Fideles, Oliver Winters, Deadmau5 and artists alike."

Raised in a musically rich environment thanks to his mother’s talents, Jono’s deep-rooted connection to music laid the foundation for his distinctive euphoric sound. His breakout single, "I CAN'T SAVE YOU," has amassed over 1 million streams in less than a year, and his releases on prestigious labels like Zamna, Purified, Impressum, and Siona have solidified his place in the industry.

2024 is shaping up to be Jono’s biggest year yet, with exciting collaborations on the horizon—Korolova on her Captive Soul imprint and a major release with Sevenn on Zamna Records. His music is catching the attention of industry heavyweights like Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, as well as publications such as Dancing Astronaut and Ibiza Spotlight.
