Piece inspired by the contrast beetween popping corns and electronic birds whisteling songs. Fieldrecording were made in november 2013. This piece was made between 8th and 10th march 2014.

First track recorded with the monotron device! Curious to see what I can do with this little nice gift from my students! Thanks you all! Two overlayed takes with some audiomulch live processing together with a piezo microphone just under the monotron also fed into the audiomulch patch. Inspiration for the piece was coming from a great canoeing on the river Ångermanälven on the 2nd june 2011.

Sollefteå Lökom Canoes

This is a piece I prepared and played live at Hola Sessions on the Dec 14th 2023, Prästmon. It´s made with 2 harmonicas, AudioMulch (delay, granulator, arpeggiosynth), one small tourist bell (from Cambridge) and a kalimba built by one of the sons of Hukwe Zawose (Bagamoyo, Tanzania). The "Hola" reference in title is both to the series of books like "Hej Klarinett" and "Hej Piano", beginners notebooks. Hola is spanish for "Hej" (hello in english). I am a beginner in harmonica. I love the sounds from it. So a rediscovering and saying hello to this instrument. The other Hola reference is the "Hola folkhögskola", the folk high school up in the north of Sweden, where I work. Hola Sessions is a series of concerts that has happened there for about 10 years. (The 50 Cent reference - at first it was named Hola Harmonica 50 Cent) has not much to do with the artist 50 Cent more than one of my students wanted me to make a live remix of a track by 50 Cent, or a mashup that I suggested. Now it happened to be more of a mashup in the title of this piece and a bit of sortof  after construction that the harmonicas I played on might have costed 50 Cent at some moment in history. This is as most oftly played live while recording, so it is no edits except some slight compression and some slight EQ added. Hope you enjoy!  Photo by Henrik Ljusberg

Hola Harmonica

For our final event of the season, Ptilia is performing in and hosting a group concert of selected pieces from Pauline Oliveros’ ‘Sonic Meditations’. Oliveros’ work has been extremely influential to us over the past year, as we find an increasingly greater need to and listen much more deeply to one another and our environment.
The Sonic Meditations are text-based scores which rely on presence within our surroundings in which, as Oliveros had said “music is a welcome by-product”.

Environmental Dialogues - 30 December 2023

This track is on a recent CD release called Öh! Wave here in Sweden with experimental artists living at a time in one region called Östergötland (i am not living there now, btw). Heart Of Tones by Pauline Oliveros

The audio of the audiovisual concert that Avatar Orchestra Metaverse streamed live @ Let's Build That Brain, Regensburg, oktober 5th, 2020. It starts with Fragula by Björn Eriksson, then a helicopter orchester herding between Fragula and PwrHm by Tina M. Pearson, before it ends with an Orchestral aomprovisation based on Novae by Johannes Riedmann.

Avatar Orchestra Metaverse live @ Let's Build That Brain, Regenburg 2020

Jori Tokyo (Johannes Riedmann) is a media artist from Regensburg(GER) born in 1973. Inspired by surrealism, DADA, Fluxus and the creative possibilities of new technologies, he researches and works in the fields of sound art, net-art, artistic performance, conceptual art, virtual worlds (metaverses) and media-art. Since the turn of the millennium, Johannes Riedmann has been a member of the media art group “Pomodoro Bolzano”. He also works conceptually and performatively with the “Avatar Orchestra Metaverse”.

In addition to solo exhibitions like “Biotekturen”, numerous performances and exhibitions/installations such as “7 up”, “Mobile Home Memory” or “Grammar” have taken place with Pomodoro Bolzano. Current and ongoing artistic projects such as “TokyoLab – audio-dimensional broadcast”, “PB Gallery @ Icewater – Metaversal Art Exhibition”, “JORITOKYO – Audio Visual Fluxus” are the artist’s main artistic activities, in addition to his annual participation in the global “Art’s Birthday Network”.
