A year or two ago I had a dream in which I drove a car with my two brothers. In the dream, I put on a (non-existent) Gentle Giant CD and the first 20 seconds of this song is what came out of the car speakers, and I laughed because I'd never quite noticed before that it actually sounded pretty damn silly. As soon as I woke up I knew I had to bring the song of my dreams into being.

An exercise in total serialism (although the intro is free-form): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serialism . Pitch is serialized according to the rules of the twelve-tone technique from 0:29 onwards, duration from 1:11, volume from 1:48, octave from 1:57 and, finally, timbre from 2:29.
