Wiltshire-born, Manchester-based Tom Jarmey (aka Ocean Stirs and one half of Mother Of Pearls) delivers the second chapter in his latest project, Wing Theory. Following releases on Holding Hands, Lobster Theremin and Dansu Discs, whilst garnering attention from the likes of Four Tet, Bicep, Jossy Mitsu, Anz and Or:la, Jarmey’s latest EP explores brand new territory in an eclectic mix of both dance-centric and home-listening tracks.

Spanning 9 minutes, EP opener ‘Heated Silence’ takes the listener on an off-kilter, synth-laden journey through peak-time crescendos and fuzzy ambience.

Accompanying the Wing Theory project is a bespoke visual identity created by María Medem—forging the look of each record, Medem’s artwork creates a beautiful, tangible world for the music. Analogue mastering by Curve Pusher.

Brassica turn for Vivod see’s him on top form following his release on Feel My Bicep late last year (and a mix for LYO few months ago). His "Blue Function EP" is a expansive affair taking in House, Techno, EBM and more with opener "Coco Diaz" starting procedeengs as a weirdo acid burner. We then have a u-turn with "Splash", premiered here, somehow new age house jack but still with that unmistakable Brassica touch. On the flip "Nothing to Say" is an unsettled beast with horror vibes and things are rounded off with title track "Blue Function", a more laid back shroom opus. 
With Blue Function Brassica’s music continues to set him apart ; having already earned himself an enviable list of supporters including Bicep, DJ Harvey, Maceo Plex, Trevor Jackson, Henry Saiz, Andrew Weatherall and Erol Alkan ; Brassica has been winning more hearts and minds with recent Live performances at Warehouse Project, Shine, Marble Factory, Bloc, Corsica Studios and more.

Jason Orrell aka jOrrell is a musician, DJ, yoga teacher and all around body mover based in Brooklyn. His first raves in early 2000s Houston, TX and subsequent exposure to NYC club culture cemented his lifelong love for house music. He went to art school and got his start DJing parties with the Local Project collective at the infamous 5 Pointz building in LIC. In 2009, he began his yoga teaching career and set his creative sights on producing his own music. He released his first album in 2021 and continues to produce tracks that foster introspection through the deeper sounds of dance. In the studio, on the mat, or behind the booth, he sets the mood for a sweaty alchemy of bodies, movement and sound.
