Following their impressive receptions at EDC, Hard Fest and most recently Palm Springs’ poolside festival Splash House, LA’s Bixel Boys are clearly on their way to becoming the next household name for underground bass-heavy house music. From their more tropical “Love Like This” to the heavier club riser “Black December”, the duo’s production diversity and unique voice stand far above the rest in their class. The original’s moderate pace fits perfectly in a daytime lounge or rooftop set, but the recognizable Bixel twist brings it to a whole new level. The level we crave for at the club and festival main stage. Sidechained chords, industrial samples, and crushing 4-to-the-floor percussion go hand in hand with Nicole’s vocals. A true remix, the Boys' edit doesn’t diverge far from Golden Features’ structural intention and tonal inflection; it maintains the original's darkness and gait while successfully creating a festival-ready leviathan. Some birds fly South for the winter, especially with this cold snap going on right now! After three unbelievable years of the Dirtybird Campout at our West Coast home, we’re taking the show to Florida with our biggest lineup yet.

For the cross-country journey, we packed 8 brand new tracks in the Dirtybird Campout East Coast Compilation from several of the artists that will be playing the Birdhouse stage during the weekend.

The compilation leads off with a cover of the classic Brazilian internet meme by MP4 in 2000, “Books Is On The Table”, most recently covered by Marshall Applewhite. This bumpy new cover takes us back to Brazil - Home of Bruno Furlan with help from Claude VonStroke on the production. Nick Monaco gives us some “Drama”, and we welcome Justin Jay back with his bouncy single “Oii Oii Oiiii”. Maximono’s “No Joke” is literally that, and BOT reminds us that “Different is Beautiful”. Vangelis Kostoxenakis provides the “Monkey Business”, and Dateless and his brother Lucati show us it’s all about “Team Work”. Dimiz & Baley’s “Raw Motion” was the track Claude dropped during the Family Set, and we couldn’t wait any longer to get this heater out.
