New Orleans-inspired Kung Fu blast of brass & drums founded by Reggie Pace (Bon Iver, Fight the Big Bull) f/who's-who of Richmond NC players. SPIN calls "a hot, irrepressible blast of brass and canyon like grooves".   

'RVA All Day' is a celebration of the thriving jazz and R&B scene that birthed the band. A mix of 11 mostly-instrumental originals and instantly recognizable covers written and/or arranged by Pace, 'RVA All Day' is all about movement. "I thought it was weird that jazz decided it didn’t care if people danced anymore," says Pace, whose spirited arrangements of pop classics like "Thriller" (featured on the record), "Take On Me," and even Rush's "Tom Sawyer" never fail to whip the audience into a frenzy. "I wanted to make something that would appeal to people who want to dance."

The members of Richmond's No BS! Brass Band have performed with some of the biggest names in indie music—from Bon Iver and Megafaun to Feist and Sharon Van Etten—along with jazz, R&B, and reggae greats like Gladys Knight, Ozomatli, and the Wailers. But something magical happens when the 11 players step to center stage for a New Orleans-inspired Kung Fu blast of brass and drums. They've captured that magic on record for 'RVA All Day.' The beat bear he is, our French producer has made a thorough work. As he usually does with many of his songs, he was inviting fellow contemporary artists again to create this EP together... "Don't You Mind" EP sees Proleter co-writing the tune called 'Feeling Hot' - applying it with a hard swing edge. The title track is featuring MC Shurshock which is the very first collab of this duo formation resulting in a big room dubstep roots banger. The rest of the EP, with tunes like "Dolphin Dance" and "Drop It", serves a proper bass heavy modern funk environment - giving quality glitch-hop and breezy ghetto-funk a big high-five. Having delivered a powerful drum'n'bass tune to BBP's Powerhour Free Download Series last month, this EP is a perfect follow up of Mr. Ours to continue his way on Breakbeat Paradise Recordings.

It’s about that time for us to do a whip around from the CiF troops and bring you a free four-track EP dripping in goodness. You guessed right, it’s sauce time. Freshly Dipped Volume Two is here and this time we’ve got @gramsoul, 
@mr-fitzz, @roastbeatz & @senorpeludo pulling their finest bangers out of the bag.

Gram Soul a seasoned sauce veteran whips up the unthinkable and makes it better than the rest of them. He’s spliced David Bowie's Fame and Public Enemies Shut Em Down. The result is a hip-hop heater on a serious bed of funk!

Hot on his heels is head honcho Roast Beatz. He’s served up his take on last year’s smash hit Boasty but named it Roa$ty. Very intellectual, not just a pretty face that one. He’s switched up the tempo, added some growler sprinkled with horn stabs making this a staple for the clubs. 

After Roastie is young buck, Mr. Fitz. He’s managed to peel off a rather tasty number called Funky Bukaki. How a mind so clean and young could come up with such filth I’ll never know. He’s gone the Funk route on an up-tempo banger and called upon DJ Kool to gob off over the top. 

Last but last is our friend Señor Peludo! He swoops in with his Swedish shenanigans and drops a fruity Rum and Ass number fit for a king. Equipped with Jazz flute, Del Vocals, and beefy bass this finishes the compilation nicely.
