Sailor & I are back with their latest productions for Life and Death. The two original tracks, while very different in moods, both share lush productions and a dramatic musical storytelling not often found in a typical dance release. While Boys & Girls offers a slowed-down mournful and yet beautiful nostalgic tale of childhood days gone by, Turn Around comes straight out of the gate like a racehorse on fire, flanked by strong strings and a vocal that pleads a case for love that comes straight from the heart. 

And of course rounding out the release is arguably one of the most anticipated tracks of the summer. Ever since it first started falling on people’s ears earlier this year, the Âme remix of “Turn Around” has been the high point of sets by Tale of Us, Dixon, Mano Le Tough as well as the few select others that have had their hands on it up until this point. It’s been giving goosebumps to club goers everywhere and with good reason — this is Âme at their finest, taking the song and extending it into an epic masterpiece that works wonders on a dancefloor while never losing the bewitching essence of the original.

If you were sunning it in Ibiza last summer, it's more than likely you came across Patrick Topping. 

The Hot Creations producer was behind one of the island's biggest tracks, 'Forget', and spent the season delivering bumping house and techno sets as a resident at Jamie Jones' Paradise.

'Restored' will see artists such as Danny Daze, Popof, Joris Voorn, Harvard Bass and MonkeySafari all remix tracks from the original 'Restore' album by Marc Houle. We've heard the whole thing and trust us, it's fucking great.

Today however we have the premiere of M.A.N.D.Y's edit and the German duo have gone in hard with their re-imaginging. 'Business' has been turned into a dark and menacing roller, with mutant undertones and fierce zaps to boot. It's a trippy one and we're sure it'll hypnotise any crowd that hears it.

Over the last 18 months, lots of you have kept asking when Sunsets & Dolphins will be released. We're proud of the track and enjoyed making it, but at the same time it has never quite aligned itself with the vision we have for our release plans. When you write music every day, you often end up with tracks that you're pleased with, and even play out sometimes, but that you don't necessarily feel warrant a full release. 

That said, since Disclosure played it in their Essential Mix there's been a lot of love for the track, and numerous requests for it to be released. Coming from a pirate radio/rave tape youth, there was always something about those tracks that existed in isolated, out-of-reach forms... only ever heard on a single tape or sometimes only ever played by a single DJ, who had the only dubplate. 

We're not sure that's even possible any more in the digital age, but as the reaction to Sunsets & Dolphins reminded us of that, we thought it would be fun to cut it to a single dubplate and give it away to one of you. We're not the first to do it, we might not be the last. But hopefully you'll appreciate the sentiment :) Big up as always... wAFF makes a welcomed return to Hot Creations with three original cuts on his mighty ‘Fat Gash EP’.
Playfully named after his best friend, title track ‘Fat Gash’ is a dancefloor monster with highly infectious vocals, while ‘Shabby’ has powerful keys, sonic builds and rolling percussions. Over on the flip ‘Connected’ is a high energy hitter with smooth vocals and a serious party vibe.

Since releasing his “Rainbows EP’ on Hot Creations in 2012 and following with a number of successful releases and remixes, wAFF has become a staple part of the crew playing with the likes of Jamie Jones, Lee Foss and Richy Ahmed all over the world and is now entering into his third year as resident at DC10 for Paradise. Brazilian-born Joyce Muniz immersed herself in the world of electronic music after moving to Austria at the age of 12. By the age of 16, she purchased her first 1212s and became one of Vienna’s youngest DJs. When the raw and pulsating sounds of Brazilian dance music baile funk infiltrated European house and techno, Muniz connected with her origins by providing vocals for Viennese producer Stereotyp. Solidifying her stance as a multitalented artist and MC, Muniz satisfied her craving to produce by diving deep into house music, carving out her own niche through a smooth-yet-funky sound often complimented by sultry vocals and thumping basslines. 

’An early coup for Exploited was 2011's 'Morning Love', Muniz's collaboration with Louie Austen. An old school Viennese crooner who'd worked alongside the rat pack in Las Vegas, he'd risen to prominence again after the turn of the millennium, alongside the likes of Peaches and Gonzalez, on the crest of electroclash. With his lived-in vocals riding a spacey house groove punctuated by snippets of breakbeats, Austen was so impressed with Muniz that he asked her to produce his next album.

This mutual respect was to arise again in the shape of Maya Jane Coles, who helped get Muniz's music into the hands of 20:20 Vision, so far resulting in two Eps. Then Richie Hawtin got hold of an unreleased track and played it on his Ibiza Boiler Room. “I really was wondering how Richie Hawtin got it!” Joyce said. Still, got it he had, leaving just the clearance of its Kraftwerk sample from 'It's More Fun to Compute' and the addition of a vocal by ex-Jungle Brother Bam, for the modern day hip-house of 'Back in the Days' to become a hit for Exploited last year.’ (DJMag) Not to forget her collaboration track ’Warriors’ with Bpitch longstay Kiki or her recent remix of Traffic Signs aka Steve Bug and Jake the Rapper’s ’Cookie Jar’.

Her next release ’You Always Get Me High’ will drop on Exploited in May.

Following releases from label heads Dusky and Christian Piers, 17 Steps returns with an awaited label debut from Velvit (Darren White) that offers both forward-thinking club sounds and leftfield sonics. 

Co-opting the dark, technical style that Darren has long practised as drum & bass legend dBridge, lead track 'Be So Cruel' adds a fresh perspective on house and techno forms that instantly stood out from the pack. 

Blending dark grooves and sinister mechanics with Darren's own soulful vocals, 'Be So Cruel' has been heavily anticipated ever since it featured in Dusky's Resident Advisor mix last year.

Featuring the vocals of his brother Steve Spacek, 'No Excuses' is a stripped soul roller with dense rhythms and mad jazz moments that works as both meditative headphone trip and experimental dancefloor moment. 

Completing a diverse triple header, 'South Of 01Your Soul' takes things down a futuristic electro vibe with dark sci-fi cinematics battling it out with body-popping beats and Darren's distinctive cyborg soul vocals.

Vienna-based Joyce Muniz returns to Exploited next week with 'You Always Get Me High' and although we'd never advocate narcotics, we can definitely recommend the Brazilian's latest offering. Riding off the success of her 'Back In The Days feat. Bam' release for the Berlin label – plus a brace of EPs for 20:20 Vision – Muniz continues her run of form this two track release.

The sun may be temperamental but Muniz is still getting summer underway, as the irresistibly groovy yet sultry touches of 'You Always Get Me High' provide the perfect compliment to the start of the Ibiza season.
