Summer is still around us and there's even more heat coming with our label boss Sinisa Tamamovic. 'The Tropics' and 'Lava' are influenced by tropical weather and fire from Sinisa's volcano hopping experience and trips around the earth. The first tune 'Lava' is a ride into a more deeper techno sound with a long and atmospheric break, mixed with some trippy vocals and effects. With all these elements, Sinisa leads us into a massive explosion when the after break, the bass and groove drop heavily. The second track on EP, 'The Tropics' is a perfect summer hit with Sinisa's heavy baseline and tech house rhythms. Organic drums and a hot male vocal precisely fit to the beats making a serious shake on any dance floor.

Sinisa Tamamovic - The Tropics - Night Light Records

Hour 2 kicks off with Luca Santucci from Stubborn Heart with a Northern Soul special. Almost exactly 15 years after his last mix for Solid Steel, he returns for another go on the wheels. Perhaps better known for his collabos with Leila Arab, Plaid, Playgroup and Matthew Herbert, Luca can nowadays be heard plying his trade as one half of Stubborn Heart. He's done this mix for us to promote the film his brother Marco Santucci has produced, 'Northern Soul', directed by Elaine Constantine. The mix consists of fave tunes out of his brother's 7" box as well as tunes off the soundtrack to the film, which hits cinemas up and down the country on October the 17th.

We finish the show with a mix by Dunk Ballantyne from Tiger's Milk Records to coincide with the release of Peru Bravo, rare Funk, Soul and Psych from Peru's Radical Decade. Music featured includes Laghonia, Traffic Sound and Thee Image from the album, plus more from David Toop, Wolfgang Dauner Quintet and E Rodney jones & Friends.
