Home had been a distant memory for the last few months; only sun, sea and sand had filled her days. Going back seemed alien but she couldn't stay away forever, she had to face the music at some point. But arriving home, something didn't feel right. The house felt cold, unfamiliar and empty. The furniture and ornaments didn't feel as though they belonged to her anymore. It was as though these materialistic objects were a shadow of her former life, one she no longer connected with.

Madrid's Play Pal Music step back into the world of solo releases following their last compilation, the fifth instalment in their Pals compilation. They now draft in one of the artists who made an appearance on that last release for a new solo EP: Chilean producer and one half of production duo Random Atlas, Aural Trace. Made up of three original cuts, 'Die Blaue Stunde' opens with two pacy tracks that display his signature cosmic touch, while our pick 'Transmutación' slows things down, hypnotising the listener with its cinematic quality. Several of Play Pal's friends take care of the remixes, including Niv Ast, Teniente Castillo and Cabizbajo, who put their own personal spin on the originals.

Being patient is an art for itself.  Challenging and easy at the same time The song "Patience" completes Ninze’s EP "Reasons for Simplicity". As the title suggests, the song plays with patience and impatience - the driving forces when dancing. Well-filled pads on distorted deep house beats with fuzzy vocals take the listener back into his cosmos.  
A special feature of this piece: Julian accidentally included his bouncing leg. Which; like restless leg syndrome, moves up and down while he works on his songs. If you listen carefully - you'll notice this accent. Sometimes the small things in life or the coincidences that turn simplicity into something special - like in this song.

Das Trio @treibgut eine reine Improvisations-Band und stellt sich immer einfach so mit ihren Instrumenten und Geräten vor eine Menschenmenge. „Die Inspiration kommt dabei aus dem Moment und dem Zusammenspiel zu dritt“, erklären die Musiker aus Hamburg. Manchmal seien es sogar eigene kleine Fehler, die die Idee zum nächsten Track liefern würden. „Am Ende eines Gigs in der Hammahalle des Sisyphos ist dann irgendwie der Track „Phosphor“ entstanden. Das ist zwar auch schon wieder eine Weile her, aber irgendwie hat er uns nicht losgelassen, so dass wir ihn unbedingt aufnehmen und veröffentlichen wollten.“ Gesagt, getan. We met @luimafuta thanks to our friends from @downvienna at a wild party at Fluc in Vienna in 2019 . We spend some nice days together and feel in love with his live set. When Jonas aka @KlangDruide then send us " A Spoon full of honey" as release proposal earlier this year, we directly had to think of Lui and knew this would be a great match. Lui took his friend Puste along with his trumpet and out came this beauty of a track. Due to Corona we could not enjoy their live performance at Klunkerkranich last Saturday the 14.03, but we hope the song puts a smile on your face where ever you are right now. 

As always with Hug Records 50% of the profit raised with this track are donated to the Water Project from @Love-Foundation. The other 50% are split equally between Artist and Label.
