This is a very important song to me because it was written by my father about fifteen years before now(2021), and it was always my favourite of his. So it was a wonderful project to remake it like never before, with art from my friend Contagious Pixie and drums from the man himself Dylan Greenough!

The song takes up the heavy subjects like teen suicide, runaways, and drug use. It is my hope to bring awareness to these matters. I'm sure we have all been affected by them in one way or another.

In Canada,
There were 4,012 suicides in 2019.
There were 1,628 apparent opioid toxicity deaths that occurred between April and June 2020, representing the highest quarterly count since national surveillance began in 2016.

Beggin' At Their Heel - Single

Joe Bodie is an Canadian multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer. He performs as an Alternative Punk/Rock band based in Edmonton, AB. The band formed in 2015 from a collection of talented misfits who met in music class. This was eventually refined to just Joe and his best friend, Dylan Greenough. The pair's unique brand of entertainment fuses wailing blues guitar and driving punk beats with groovy bass lines and an explosive live energy that will make you want to get up, move, and sometimes laugh.
