The Spanish native premiers his first release on Truesoul records, ‘Moti On’, a 4 track EP packed with punchy tech house beats and rolling basslines. The EP comes fully loaded with his signature sound, some dark vocals and melodic synths. Uniformed in their approach, the 4 tracks are laced with catchy hooks and casual percussion.

Seth Troxler offers up the next installment in a lauded series of 12's on his no nonsense, club-focused imprint Play It Say It. With previous releases coming from Butch, The Mekanism and Steve Lawler, next in line is a new addition to the roster: Leonardo Gonnelli. Based in Florence, Leonardo Gonnelli has recently release on Defected and has also on Dirtybird, Snatch Off and Suara. Throughout, the Italian native has consistently pedalled a sound heavily indebted to 90's Acid House and Detroit Techno and it's this in conjunction with a sound understanding of how to work a dancefloor that aligns him perfectly with the ethos of Play It Say It. 'Tonada' is a rich, hypnotic dance floor track propelled by clever sequencing that has it twisting and turning throughout. Arresting Spanish vocal passages punctuate progress while a circling sequence tumbles through the mix. The Dub version then omits the vocals in favour of distant whispers and caps off another solid addition to the Play It Say It series.

Leonardo Gonnelli - Tonada (Original mix) [Seth Troxler's PLAY IT SAY IT]

Four months after SHAKE 001, Mahogani's Dan Shake returns with his second edits release. The EP showcases two infectiously dance-y gems that have already received support from the likes of Daphni, Gilles Peterson and Soul Clap – an unsurprisingly warm response, given that it's Mr. Shake. To us, "Northern Merry" was the no-bainer. The synthesised organ's blues chords of the Mo-town intro plunges you straight in the deep end, with the 4x4 tempo picking straight up before you know it. An instant smile-on-face putter from one of the UK's fastest rising groove-makers.

The track drops on 16th January. Keep eyes peeled on Dan's BandCamp that day, for a free (yes, free!) download.

Dan Shake "Northern Merry" - Boiler Room Debuts

Electronic music seems to be booming in Mexico lately and you can bet it's not gonna cease any soon. Perfect Straight is a fresh new label hailing from the beautiful town of Aguascalientes in the center of the country. We don't know much of the artist hidden on its label's moniker apart from the fact he goes by the name Francisco but if one thing stands for certain it's that he got a talent for beautiful summerish crafted house music ! 200 copies only on 7", white label, white vinyl and promptly in the shops, watch out for this one !
