Full Intention carries the weight of house history in their talented shoulders, after almost decades in the spotlight they are quickly becoming regulars in our release schedule and we couldn´t be more proud about it. The UK wonder duo comes back to OFFSPIN this time with a three tracker that as always, shows their clean, hi-def take on dancefloor music, as always with the perfect balance between good taste, funk and bumpin madness.
 
"Meteor Man" is all about the bassline. A synth monstruous acidic riff that dominates everything  over phat jackin beats taking you back to chicago and off to the moon while "Upside Down" takes a more relaxed groovy vibe still with a heavy synth-bass presence and a classic vocal bit that will cause nothing but wide dancefloor smiles.

"Walk Away" locks down this package with an amazing flow of modulated stabs, killer strings and a swinged up shuffled groove leading to a huge breakdown.
 
A whole EP dedicated to the fun part of any dj set, as always with the quality seal of this house music pioneers and all the love from OFF.

Gregor Tresher kicks off 2015 looking to break new soil with his first ever full release for John Digweed's Bedrock Records.   

Last year was as hectic as ever for the Gregor and he came into it on high from the success of his artist album Nightcolours and having closed out 2013 by releasing an astonishing Laurent Garnier remix of the title track, on his own imprint.   Time to relax a little maybe? Not a chance. January saw the remixed version of the album hit the stores and this was backed within a few weeks by 'Taurus', Gregor's enticing collaboration with Petar Dundov. The summer saw him remix the Chymera classic 'Shadowdancer' and he closed 2014 with the superb 'Midas / Disturber' double-header.   

Somewhat of a musical chameleon, Tresher is as at home creating deeper shades of house for the likes of Moon Harbour and Ovum as he is techno rhythms for Music Man, Cocoon and Drumcode.   With label boss Digweed a huge fan, Bedrock is yet another perfect fit for the German and he opens his account with the mighty, melodic and Kraken'esque 'Goliath' and the razor-sharp lightning bolt that is 'Stormblade'.

2000 And One - Fabregas

Speaking Minds return to Aeon with their first EP on the label, after a remarkable appearance as remixers on Dodi Palese’s ‘Black Drop Effects’.

This release starts off with ‘JSB’, a captivating and hypnotic affair enhanced by perfectly crafted delayed synths creeping out of the background. The constant darkness in harmonies and pads takes the listener through a brilliantly thought out progression and leaves them wanting for more after this 9-minute trip ends.

‘Yaoundé’ continues on this melancholic vibe, while bringing forward a more cinematic and even more chilling side from the Italian producers’ music. The main ambient lead develops beautifully, alongside many synth harmonies, and offers a contrast with a pushing drum section. This track is reduced to its essence, with crisp shakers and hi-hats bringing a drive to the intense atmosphere created by numerous harmonic layers.

Closing off this EP, ‘Paradise’ features a drunken melody evolving all through the track; a hook that is celverly completed by a pad halfway through. The arrangement, natural and flowing, makes every element of this trip shine, from the discrete chords in the background to the main synth line.

Speaking Minds have truly spoken with their heart here. This is a collection of masterfully crafted tracks full of melancholy and passion. Prepare to be taken aboard this cinematic trip...

British producer wAFF has been making waves in recent years, reflecting on a diligent 2015 spent playing across the likes of Europe, Africa, Asia and the States, when not making routine appearances at Paradise, Ibiza. As a producer he’s dropped several lauded releases on Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations imprint, not to mention Matthias Tanzmann’s Moon Harbour and Sven Väth’s Cocoon, with his next outing landing on renowned Swedish label Drumcode run by techno titan Adam Beyer.

Laying down hard hitting kicks from the off, ‘Holographic’ churns out an undulating synth combined with shuffling hats and a cavernous low-end, before ‘VibrationZ’ employs a low-slung groove fashioned from a sultry bassline, floating chords and sinister vocal. Tying it together, ‘Syncronistic’ is on a more heads down tip with whirring atmospherics, crunchy snares and subtle 303 squelches for a lengthy and mesmerising piece of production.

Break New Soil's impressive "Breaking New Soil" series reaches its fifth instalment and whilst we've been treated to multi-track EP's, the latest from label is a weighty eight track compilation.  "We created the series as a platform to bring together artists from our roster, friends of the label and also material that we've been sent for consideration" says label boss Gregor Tresher. Each and every track is selected because its worked well in my own DJ sets. It seems that with each instalment we just have more to bring you."For Vol. 5 we are treated to new tracks from label favourites Marco Effe, Romano Alfieri and Luca Bear or as Gregor calls them "our Italian family" and BNS debutant, Coyu. "His Suara label is for me, one of the most consistent right now" says Tresher. Macromism return with a follow up to their vol. 4 contribution, which was one of the highlights of the ep and drop another bomb, whilst we also welcome Mr Bizz who impressed greatly with their recent release on Octopus. Alex Dolby & Santos obviously need little introduction and with Gregor working on a remix project for them, the favour is returned with a new cut that presents a new side to their sound. Wrapping things up are Mario Da Ragnio who returns to the label with a nasty little groover and new Italian artist Alex Delia who drops an essential tool for the floor.
