This is a song I wrote in an attempt to do a straight up old skool Soul song (in the style of Al Green, or Jacksoul's 'Still Believe In Love'). It's one of the few songs of my own where I wrote and sing the lyrics, in addition to doing all the music. 

But I also was very interested to hear how it could sound with the talents of the Eclectic Collective doing their own interpretation of the music, so after I completed this Soul version, they had at it, and in their typically innovative style, they came away with a totally new more upbeat remix version featuring some Caribbean influences. The one common thread between the two versions is the soulful guitar playing by TexMex Shaman, which seemed to fit both styles seamlessly. Thanks for listening, and hope you enjoy them!
(P.S. "Rex" in the lyrics is a sabre-toothed tiger)
