A Trance Yearbook of 1998 - Part One

We kickstarted November with the hugely anticipated return to AREA in Sheffield for Gatecrasher's 26th Birthday! An event where the music literally did all the talking!!! An A-Star DJ list with every single DJ playing on top form. When it comes to Gatecrasher, there is always are wonderful emphasis on family and on that night we all came together as one. We all laughed, danced and sang along to a Trance musical escapade under those rainbow assorted lasers.

Being a promoter and DJ, there is always that initial anxiety at the beginning of the night...."How will the night go?????" As you start to loosen up, after seeing the flow of smiling faces enter the club and move around, those hairs on the back of your neck suddenly begin to stand up. 

The next thing you know, you're DJing in front of a packed main dance floor and seeing all those arms raise up when anthems like "Rank 1 - Airwave" and "DJ Tiesto - Lethal Industry" get played. It reaches a crescendo with the grand finale of people singing in tune to my rework of "The Killers - Mr Brightside". That's when you know that you're in for a special night! Gatecrasher truly is the gift that keeps on giving!!
