Give Me A Break

Showcasing her first song in an upcoming series of singles, Josephine Relli brings forward an upbeat song with a strong meaning behind it. In order to support her beliefs with animals and their treatment, and even just the entire world’s needs, Make A Change promotes working to change for the better. This new single releases on World Animal Day, October 4th in the start of her Singles For Change.

“I wanted Make A Change to showcase all different aspects of change from the negative reasoning to the positive goals to strive for. It’s meant for World Animal Day, but the song can refer to anything that needs some positive reinforcement and refinement.”

No Difference is a song to showcase how everyone isn’t really that different from each other. Josephine was inspired by old west music with this song instrumentally and pulled from her own feelings for lyrical inspiration. She is a strong believer in equality for anyone and everyone and this song is her way of telling a story with that belief. 
“This song was mainly inspired by older literature that showcase relationships and friendships between people that maybe were frowned upon at the time. I am an avid reader and love pulling inspiration from books. This song tells a story. If you listen to the lyrics you can feel the change the narrator goes through inside him or herself.” - Josephine Relli

No Difference

Bringing to you her last song in her releases of singles before her EP “Make a Change” drops, Josephine Relli gives “From Loving You”. A song with a simple title, but a deeper meaning. This song is to showcase individuality and being comfortable with being your true self. Josephine has shown positive changes with her first single, “Make a Change”, the importance of all around acceptance of everyone with “No Difference” and now the significance of loving and staying true to oneself with “From Loving You”
“I like to write all of my songs with the intention of them being universal and subjective to different meanings. The title of this song almost seems like a love song, which it is, but not in the typical way. The "you" in the title for me signifies things, not necessarily a person or people.This song is the one that can help you through times of misunderstanding. When you’re feeling alone and it seems like no one quite accepts or loves the true you. It’s a reminder that being yourself is amazing and even though there will be those who try and change you, you stay true” - Josephine Relli

From Loving You

Following the release of her 2018 EP “Make A Change” comes Josephine’s latest single, “Blink Of an Eye.” This song was a collaboration song with Producer Jack Kennedy. Josephine, after releasing a multitude of songs on her own, wanted to branch out a bit. To work with others in the industry and push her genre comfort zone. This song holds new sounds that are not as commonly found in Josephine’s other works. Using more electronic tones and taking a more pop route makes this song a unique one in Josephine’s repertoire. 
	“I really wanted to try and expand my comfort zone with this song. I was feeling a certain vibe for a song in my mind but wasn’t able to get it to the point I wanted by myself. So then I got into contact with Jack, and we set out to create “Blink of An Eye.” He was able to bring to the table the things I wanted that I couldn’t reach alone. “Blink of An Eye” is a fun summer tune that just talks about living life for every moment, because it can go by in, well, a blink of an eye. I hope you have as much fun listening to this song as I had creating it.”

Inspired by my collaboration single “Blink of an Eye”, I decided to set off and put a more electronic pop sound into my other works. So, I took four songs from my EP “Make A Change” and remixed them. I created a more pop style sound for each of them and was able to expand my creativity on them as well. They’re all still the same songs, just with a slight twist.

“I wanted to do something slightly different for me in the sense of the style that I create. After making “Blink of an Eye” I felt inspired to produce more songs with that feel – so I did. This wasn’t very long after my Ep release and I was still feeling those songs, so I decided to use a couple off the album. I had so much fun going back and exploring the different paths I could go down with these remixes and I hope everyone enjoys them too.”

Up and coming singer-songwriter Josephine Relli is diving head first into the music industry. Debuting her first album, Miscellaneous, at age 14, she is already one step ahead of the game. Now at age 17, along with her record, Josephine has released multiple singles and a new EP, "Make A Change". Coming a long way from when she first began, Josephine is an independent artist who runs all of her management, writes, and produces her music, and loves every moment of it. 

Having a musical style that is somewhat out of the ordinary and a sound that is genuinely unique, Josephine's songs stand out. If it's not her intricate compositions or capturing lyrics that catch you, it has got to be her voice. Having been described as a female Sam Smith, Josephine's voice has a richness far beyond her years and a certain grit that helps her proclaim her song's stories. With her songwriting, Josephine wants to reach as many people as possible, and by writing songs that can be subjectively interpreted in many ways, she is actively striving towards that goal.  

Since her start in the music industry, Josephine has performed at Hawkins Cellars, Lange Winery, Methven Family Vineyards, and the Portland Saturday Market in front of hundreds, as well as getting features on KGW and Sounds of PDX radio show. Keep a lookout for more from this rising artist!
