Straight from the heart of Amsterdam’s vibrant club scene, PIV founder Prunk and RED 87 offer up a first-time collaboration with their ‘Express EP’, landing 23rd May. Featuring three original cuts and a remix from UK duo RUZE, the release captures the duo’s shared passion for soulful house grooves—delivered just in time for summer. 

Opening with the title track, ‘Express’ brings together lush synth pads, simmering hi-hats, and echoed vocal snippets, crafting a warm, hypnotic energy that reflects the pair’s signature sound. RUZE steps in to reimagine the original with a sun-soaked, transportive flair, adding vibrant textures and an irresistible late-night feel. On ‘Listen’, Prunk and RED 87 showcase their knack for stripped-back club music, layering rippling melodies and tight, luscious percussion built for both the dancefloor and the afters. Closing cut ‘Break It Down’ tips its hat to classic Hot Creations energy—funk-laced, percussive, and oozing with charm, it wraps up the EP with a high-octane flourish. 

"When I was a young Prunk, I had a Hot Creations record on my wall. I remember playing all kinds of tracks from the label over the last 15 years, and I still do. From Hot Natured and Jamie Jones to Burnski and Danny Daze. It's one of those labels that is on almost every producer's release bucket list. After a few amazing shows at Paradise Ibiza over the last summer, I am finally releasing on the label. Obviously, a dream come true, and I'm happy to do it with one of my really good friends RED 87. Riding high as ANTS’ Next Gen 2024 winners, London-based DJ duo FIRZA are in the midst of a breakout twelve months, with a busy 2025 schedule within Europe coupled with recognition of their percussive sound from the likes of Marco Carola and Joseph Capriati. With previous releases on Microhertz, NATURE, and WYLD, to pair now join Jamie Jones’ Hottrax with their three-track EP ‘Erase It’ on 27th June, bringing their dancefloor-ready sound to a label they’ve long admired. 

“Releasing on Hottrax is a huge milestone in our music career, and it's a massive honour being welcomed onto a label we admire so much. Jamie has been a big inspiration to us from the start, and we’ve been sending him music for years, hoping for this moment. Hottrax has always been a go-to label for our sets, and we’ve played tunes from its catalogue at almost every gig we've done, so to now be part of that legacy is surreal. These tracks were made with the dancefloor in mind and to bring energy during those peak-time moments in the club. We hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed making them!” - FIRZA. 

Title track ‘Erase It’ unfolds through rich, undulating grooves and sub-shaking basslines, layered with crisp tech beats and rolling, low-ends. Next, ‘Feel 4 U ’leans into a darker rhythm with echoing textures that shimmer through, showcasing FIRZA’s knack for groove-powered direction. Closing out the EP, ‘Closer’ centres on percussive-driven beats, where wobbling sonics and thumping patterns define the track’s vibrant energy and dynamic vibe.
