I was looking for "I'm looking for a dark, thick, jazzy vibe. Something film noir, something dive bar, something Tom Waits howling into his whiskey. Something classy and mellow. Something a bit stompy and clunky. Something that feels orky. Something that struts.".

Specifically, I asked for a walking bassline that we could build the other tracks around. This sample contains a raw bassline repeated several times with different instruments coming in to thicken up the sound.

The whole Orkward soundtrack developed from this initial sample.
