What an honor it was to close the beautiful Vigo's mansion on the first night of CAMP Festival, July 4 2023. 

As it was still the beginning of the festival, my intentions were to welcome all to CAMP,  prepare them for "more to come", but still give them a cheeky bang to begin with. My journey took all dancefloor loved ones from funky tones, into a deeper and uplifting crescendo, ending a little wholesome and nostalgic.

KAPi Live @ CAMP Festival 2023 - Closing Set In Vigo's Mansion on July 4th

@brandonpatrao took over the dancefloor on Saturday evening for a sunset journey between 18:00 to 20:00! This set tells his story and takes listeners across a journey through genres. It also showcases Patrao’s travels across his life with glimpses of Indian sound throughout the set!

Overall, vibes and energy was high! You can safely say that you’ll have a smile on your face after listening to this set!

PATRAO @ Waves Retreat Chapter 3 | February 2024

This is a set recorded on a giant converted military vehicle in the Moapa Desert at Further Future 002, 2016.   While the main dance areas were on thunderstorm hold,  many futurists took shelter in RV's, Shift Pods and tents... we kept the party going, renegade style!   

Here is Part 2 of the mix, it's on the darker side, but it matched the intense rain, lightning and flooding that was occurring on the outside.

Rachel Torro is a DJ based in San Francisco, California who has spent the last five years making waves on the house music scene with eclectic and uplifting sets whenever she is in the booth. Her foray into electronic music curiously began at 15 when she found herself on a dance floor at a massive rave in Kansas City. Influenced by the likes of David Bowie to obscure German techno, Torro embarked on a journey from her home in the Chicago suburbs and headed out west to Colorado, then later to San Francisco, collecting and mixing music, while immersed in a world of colorful post-adolescent raving.

As a creative selector, Torro tests the boundaries between minimal, deep, and tech house styles, uniquely layering a blend of rich sounds, both playful and sophisticated all the same. She has an innate ability to hold the attention of a dance floor and take it long into the night, whether playing in San Francisco, Berlin or distant desert landscapes. With her previous residency at Public Works, Torro has shared the stage with the legendary Pete Tong along with NU, Hot Since 82, Mira and Lee Burridge. She is also a resident of infamous New York party collective, ZERO, known for their lavish boat parties and contrasting warehouse events. With a growing fan-base hooked on her marathon sets and unfailing warm energy on the decks, Torro is a powerful woman rising in the underground dance music community at large.

For me my music is about time and place and while in lockdown with time taking on new meaning and no where for most of us to be I found myself lost in music.  I spent some time pondering this set and ended up following my feelings and putting together a set of emotional music to reflect the time and space our collective minds are in.

As a 20 year resident DJ of San Francisco's notorious club scene, Joseph Lee has delighted dance-floor revelers from S.F. and beyond.  From early morning sunrise sets at Burning Man, to outdoor day parties in the park and street fairs, all the way to ‘4 on the floor ‘ late night after hours… “Any time, is a good time , for Deep House”

J-Lee has cultivated many ideas that support the dance music scene by sharing these sounds to the general public, such as building a giant spaceship float with a 150,000 watt sound system for SFPride2000.  This ultimately led to bringing Love Parade to the U.S. in San Francisco, as well as many other public gatherings such as Halloween in the Castro, Pink Saturday, and Portland Pride.  Most recently, he has designed, built, DJ’s and hosts a newly beloved mobile DJ-SoundSystem called the Robo-Kart.

If you haven’t yet experienced his masterful blend of hypnotic deep, sexy, tech-house with warm bass-lines, J-Lee has saved you a spot on the dance-floor.
