The piano is a modern yamaha 'player piano' with special MIDI input. Each key of the piano pulses at a constant rate, and each increase of a semi-tone is an increase of the pulse by 2^(1/12). In other words, the ratio of the pitches is mapped the the speed that the keys are pulsing. The recording was then heavily Manipuled and mixed in with some recordings of court radactions I did.
