&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;One of my teachers described <i>Frozen</i> as a "stealth" electronic piece, because it begins with acoustic sounds and slowly deteriorates into a wholly electronic soundscape. The composition of this piece began with my observation of string players who often breathe in sync with their bowing. Some performers are so caught up in the music that they don't even notice it; others deliberately breathe in order to add energy and life to their sound. I've always been fascinated by the fact that a musician's very breath can be so intrinsic to the making of his art. Additionally, I am always drawn to the solitary, lyrical sound of an unaccompanied cello, and so these were the sounds that I chose as the raw material to being a lonely journey into unfamiliar places.

and she could move mountains, walk on water, calm the stormy seas
Never met a piece that fit more perfectly
I hoped that maybe, that she would daydream with me 

Made her from my memories
created in my reveries 
I hoped and waited patiently 
maybe daydream with me?

Daydream

We were always connected 
we should have expected
that one day, I might be into you

We swore that this was a friendship
so are you really suggesting
that maybe we should be lovers too? 

I still have so many questions...

If we wander down this road
would you tell me your objective?
Would you want to take it slow
or be passionate and reckless? 
Is it really more than just
more than pure infatuation? 
Do you think it could be love? 
Do you think it could be love? 

Lately I'm so Unsure...
Are these feelings we can trust? 
How do we know if this is supposed to be us? 
Do we get these chances more than once
in this life? 

We discuss till the early morning
spend hours on the subway platform
full of emotions we can't convey
We have to use drawings and analogies
we're both too immature
our words just get in the way

And you wonder if years from now

or will I only be distracted?

hoping that no one will see who we are
