Born and raised in Ecuador, Cutkachi moved to Switzerland in 2006 where he started to produce bassweight oriented music around 2009. In the last years he shared stages as a DJ with the likes of Mala, Gantz, Tunnidge, Boddika, Sleeper or Alley Cat in dark underground venues as well as at big raves in Poland, Germany and Switzerland. To make sure his recent hometown Berne has its own serious soundsystem nights, he's also a main part of Dubtopia, an event series for the above mentioned kind of musical madness. After several dubplates he released his first vinyl record, a split 12" with Phrex on swiss abstract dub/ambient label re:st.

Cutkachis productions nowadays might be best described as a hybrid between garage and post-dubstep tunes. If he wasn't already busy enough, he started re:dio, a web-radio station focusing on carefully selected electronic music, mainly for the interested and sonically hungry folks in his homeland, but in the end for everyone who wants to tune in of course.

El encargado de musicalizar nuestra entrega número 12 fue Álvaro Tobar (@ankaph), quien nos regaló un mix con su inigualable estilo: sonidos gastados, estética vintage y una cuidada experimentación de estilos en lo que él define como una suerte de "essential mix".

En esta ocasión, Álvaro nos compartió la música que hace mover su alma en una mezcla que aumenta de intensidad progresivamente a medida que nos invita a navegar por diferentes sonoridades, encontrando restos de Jazz, Deep House, Broken Beat, y varios estilos musicales más, demostrando que no hay reglas a la hora de tocar y logrando una propuesta alegre y emotiva, llena de sabores para nutrir tu alma y mente.

En este mix, podemos escuchar a lo largo de 1 hora y 12 minutos, canciones de Felipe Gordon, Felix Leifur, Apartao, Narval, Joint4Nine, Frits Wentink, Malouane, Moff & Tarkin, Ankaph y Earth People, por mencionar algun@s, en una selección que entrelaza sin problemas joyas del ayer con sonidos más contemporáneos, haciendo de esta entrega una exquisita revisión del pasado y clásicos del futuro.
