For Therapy

I wrote this arrangement after hearing of the passing of Pete Seeger, one of this country's greatest folk song writers and singers. I heard a recording of him on NPR singing it a capella solo. The plaintive and haunting quality affected me in a way that led me to create a new setting for the tune.  This arrangement will be available from TRN Music Publishing in early 2016.

When I Go (Over the Rhine cover)

Originally titled "This Class Can Go To Hell," this was composed back in 2014 for my Music Technology II course during my undergrad. Most of the organic noise was formed with an EHX RTG pedal or a cheap dynamic mic going through my pedalboard. Other samples were from GarageBand.

I honestly wasn't too proud of this one in the beginning, as I felt it was just an amalgamation of sound that wasn't really defined, but I've found perfection in the imperfection now. Enjoy, as I don't get the chance to make music like this much anymore (maybe I'll resume in the near future).
