Morning High ushers in a new era for Dank ‘n’ Dirty with a three-track 140 EP featuring DJ Variant. The Denver-based producer returns to the label for his debut solo release after providing serious heat for the yearly 420 compilation series.  The EP also welcomes DJ Variant to the Dank ‘n’ Dirty Dubz roster, marking his debut release on the label. 

Morning High gets straight to the point with ‘Systems’, a no-nonsense wobbler rolling around in classic dubstep textures. Then DJ Variant steps up to collaborate on ‘Melfina’, creating a forest of luscious pads and stomping basslines guided by enigmatic female vocals. Finally Morning High steps off the forest path and heads deeper into the wilderness with ‘Chakka’, where zithers, metallic distortions and murky synth voices dance over twisting sub bass.

Throughout 2022, Dank ‘n’ Dirty Dubz are celebrating 12-years of releasing soundsystem music with a brand-new look, revamped logo and a monthly drop schedule totalling 12 new releases this year. The label is excited to welcome back artists who have continually provided great music to the catalogue over the years, as well as create new connections with producers who are making waves in underground dance music worldwide. Dank ‘n’ Dirty Dubz is proud to honour this intent with its first release of the year, a 3-track dubstep EP from American producers Morning High and DJ Variant.

Xakra... After his debut release on EA going straight to Vinyl in the ENV025a/b/c series.... It was only a matter of time before he came back to the platform with something hot for us all.

We have had a Mix which Content featured on his Subtle show but damn did we under estimate the levels when Xakra (Soon to be Amadeo) dropped this little number.

I feel like we must of been out of our heads to not put this on Vinyl but then we remembered the entire world has fallen apart and this track set needs time to air not sit and fester waiting for Vinyl. With that in mind.... We tapped up Xakra and he came through with this trifecta of cohesive joy! Featuring Rakjay on the lead track it didnt need anything else BUT a remix from his close associate Sawyer James on the back end... This release is packed with quality.

Being the Attack on Titan fan I am and after hearing the season 4 part 2 intro song, I knew I NEEDED to try and remix it! (The original intro song by SiM, called The Rumbling). Pretty quickly into the project, I realized that I wanted to just completely remake and cover it instead of just remixing and/or sampling parts of the original song. That's when I reached out to my good friend @MicahMartin to see if he wanted to jump on to sing it, and thank gawwwd he did because he ABSOLUTELY SLAYED IT. So stoked to put this one out with him and to put it out in general! Hope you enjoy! Can't wait until season 4 part 3 and maybe many more of these kinds of projects :)
