After presenting a wonderful release by the two Indians, we are more than happy to see Kohra & Midnight Traffic return to Charybdis with an exclusive mix for the next episode of our very own podcast series.

Coming from the utterly vibrant cities of Goa and Hyderabad, they have been shaping their musical minds under different soundscapes such as Deep and Progressive Techno, Ambient or Breaks to reach an understanding and quality, which is clearly outstanding. No surprise that they are also busy working together as part of Qilla Records, the infamous imprint which keeps exploring and representing underground electronic music in their home country and beyond for over 10 years now. 

The one-hour sonic journey will get you visiting places deep beyond the surface, formed by hypnotic spheres, voluminous bass sections and even some broken beats.

Josh discovered his love for electronic music in 1992 on his first visits in Leipzig´s Technoclubs (Basis, Distillery, etc.). He soonly enjoyed the club atmosphere and got to know many like-minded people. At that time as a technoconsument he someday felt like making his own experiences with the so-called black gold and so he started to play records. In the X-Plode record shop in Leipzig he started to buy records and soon established more and more contacts to the techno scene. In 2001 Josh moved to Schwerin where he found good friends who accompany and support him up to know. As one of the founders of „Underground Basement“ he accomplishes his musical way and remains true to himself and the electronic music. In April, 2006 Josh had his first gig in the Gerberei Schwerin in which he turns till this day(so far) more often his records and may count himself meanwhile to the Residents until the end (closing 2013)

In the matter of Producing Josh of course also remained not inactive. By releases on Kippschalter, Ostwind Records, Amuse Gueule, Kondens as well as on Lordag he made with his talent national on himself Carefully and stood in the Playlists of announced DJs. Whether to get now Deep House, Tech-House or propelling Techno – tried he many elements under a hat and to fit something his tracks certain.
