Rising star AJ Christou and Canadian dancefloor powerhouse and turntablist A-Trak’s deep, dreamy label debut on Jamie Jones’ Paradise Music features Chicago house legend Robert Owens on vocals and marks an impressive start to the label’s year.

After a busy 2024 that saw Christou make his Space Miami debut for Jones’ Paradise event and host his own label showcase at Hï Ibiza, he’s back in the studio with A-Trak, the New York-based luminary whose 25-year legacy includes Coachella performances, BBC Radio 1 Essential mixes, and global anthems as Duck Sauce alongside Arman Van Helden.

Following their successful 2024 collaboration ‘Sway’ on A-Trak’s Fool’s Gold Records, the pair now deliver another killer track with ‘Escape’. The cut opens with a smooth and funky vibe, layering seductive house rhythms, weighty drums, and Robert Owen's alluring vocals to create a luscious wave of late-night wonkiness. The Temple Dub then takes over with Owens’ vocals at the forefront, set against a nimble bassline, snappy percussion, and sizzling synths.

Straight from the heart of Amsterdam’s vibrant club scene, PIV founder Prunk and RED 87 offer up a first-time collaboration with their ‘Express EP’, landing 23rd May. Featuring three original cuts and a remix from UK duo RUZE, the release captures the duo’s shared passion for soulful house grooves—delivered just in time for summer. 

Opening with the title track, ‘Express’ brings together lush synth pads, simmering hi-hats, and echoed vocal snippets, crafting a warm, hypnotic energy that reflects the pair’s signature sound. RUZE steps in to reimagine the original with a sun-soaked, transportive flair, adding vibrant textures and an irresistible late-night feel. On ‘Listen’, Prunk and RED 87 showcase their knack for stripped-back club music, layering rippling melodies and tight, luscious percussion built for both the dancefloor and the afters. Closing cut ‘Break It Down’ tips its hat to classic Hot Creations energy—funk-laced, percussive, and oozing with charm, it wraps up the EP with a high-octane flourish.
