"Mixing records on vinyl provides a human element to my craft that a machine can't entirely replicate. The nuances and technicalities of the mixes aren't always perfectly the same each time with vinyl but I love that. My passion for the art of mixing definitely stems from these experiences, as well as the excited energy dance music brings to myself and to the crowd." 

During a visit to Helsinki, Finland in early 2001, Josh had his first introduction to electronic dance music. The club's DJ was spinning house and techno music and he recalls the atmosphere being like no other. He pinpoints this moment as the introduction to his love of dance music: The music, the vibe, the people and the pounding bass of the sound system had him instantly hooked. 

After returning to the states, he immediately bought his first pair of turntables and mixer. With humble beginnings he started to DJ at several house parties during his college years. There he spun a variety of dance music from trance to drum n bass and breakbeats. 
Fast forward to present day and Josh's favorite vinyl to spin include multiple genres of house and techno. 
 
Josh aims to utilize his passion to support and promote the growth of house music in the Midwest. And ultimately, as a means to connect people near and far, all for the love of music.
