A year ago today I had one of the most life-changing experiences of my life. Jesus came and set me free from the hand of the enemy. He (Jesus) freed me from so many things! And He can do the same for you. He is on your side!

This song is part of my testimony. It draws parallels to the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32. Where we chose to run from God and think He could never choose us or love us. But He says (Joel 2:12) even now, no matter how you've lived your life, the choices you've made, the place you're in, return to me!

The main line in my new song is "You (God) want(s) the best for me". I often find myself reflecting on my life, wondering how this can be true. I'm sure it's the same for many people who might end up listening to this song. Sometimes we go through life and we can feel abandoned, whether by God or by others, and that nothing is working out. That's a tough space to be in, one I have found myself in a number of times. Sometimes for me this song is a party song, declaring that yes! He wants the best for me! Other times, it's a prophetic declaration of hope that through the mess and the heart ache, He is working it out.

The truth is, we may not see what that "best" is in this lifetime. But all will be made new in the light of His Glory when we meet Him face to face. And all of the trials and suffering that we have faced here on earth will fade away in His presence. That is what the ultimate "best" is. The "best" of this life, this world, will pale in comparison to that day!

I hope this song is an encouragement for you to hold onto the truth of who God is, that He loves you, is for you, and wants the best for you.

Story of a Man is a song inspired by a man named Mr. Miyanda who I met whilst travelling in Africa. This song is a reflection of my time there. I hope this song takes you on a journey and challenges you to look beyond what is in front of you.

Andromeda is a song that I composed in 2016 and performed for the first time at the beginning of 2017. This particular recording was done live at the David Friend Concert in 2017. My first completed saxophone song! Enjoy! :)
