Josh Demello is no stranger to life behind the decks. Hailing from the Yorkshire capital of Leeds, his devotion to the scene began during his childhood. Whilst his peers were into comics, Demello could be found crate digging and collecting editions of Mixmag. Starting his journey at illegal warehouse raves built around the Acid House sound during the late 90s, he has built himself a name from the beginning. Whether it be promoting parties, showing support for his local scene as a clubber or playing sets, Josh has proven himself to be a worthy player. Starting out with residencies at venues such as Mint Club, The Warehouse, Club Mission in Leeds and later the legendary club Sankeys in Manchester.


Branching out from his native Leeds, Josh’s talents saw him become the youngest Ministry of Sound Resident at the age of 18 at the brands club in Egypt. Having played alongside some of the world’s biggest names, Demello has earned his stripes as a DJ playing at some of the most respected clubs on the party haven of Ibiza: Privilege, Amnesia and Sankeys to name but a few.


Josh’s time in Ibiza saw his ability to play the perfect set grow beyond just House. His residencies on the white isle’s strip playing venues such as Savannah, Kanya and Cafe Del Mar saw Demello strengthen his skill to play to the crowd, building the ideal soundtrack for a sunset setting and beyond. Josh’s skill and professionalism as a DJ shines through in his ability to adapt himself to any set. From warm ups to closing, his ability cultivate atmosphere on the dancefloor is what makes him a truly versatile DJ.


The adoration for the scene possessed by Josh is what makes him unapologetically unique. That’s why you
won’t find him crowding the booth when he’s not playing, you’ll find him out on the floor, immersed in the energy of the night. He champions himself on being a clubber first and foremost. Having spent recent years collecting studio gear and throwing his weight behind production; Josh has perfected his craft beyond his stand out residencies, forging himself as a true artist. With his undeniable experience and drive, it’s clear to see why Josh Demello is becoming a name to watch.
