House music maestro, Darius Syrossian, cues up a pair of scintillating tracks for Ben Rau’s META imprint, expertly showing his credentials when it comes to delivering effective club cuts.

An ever-present DJ and producer on the circuit for many years, Syrossian has built up an enviable catalogue of music for labels such as 8bit, Hot Creations, Robsoul, amongst others.  He runs the successful Moxy Muzik imprint, which racks up high vinyl sales and top Beatport chart positions, and also has a release for Crosstown Rebels dropping in the coming months.  As a DJ, the Tehran-born artist needs little introduction, suffice to say that he’s clocked up thousands of gigs and parties around the world, and in particular making Ibiza a regular mainstay in his annual diary.

The shimmering synth intro ‘La Tribu’ succumbs to a slammin’ and swinging four to the floor beat, as Syrossian teases vocal chops and deft organ stabs, building up the energy levels with some spanking hand claps and an infectious groove.  On ‘Dream Thief’, Syrossian parades a deeper side, as a shuffling rhythm is cloaked with reverbed percussion, warming Rhodes keys and freestyling guitar licks for a highly sophisticated and contagious jam.

Arkady Antsyrev produces minimalistic house tunes, combining deep-atmospheric soundscapes that slot perfectly into the sound world of Sublease Music. 

With this release Arkady shares three new tracks that firmly cements his reputation. 

Loud ‘n Proud is  a groovy acid tinged banger with crisp drums and bubbling 303s, underpinning a whispered, atmospheric vocal. 

Troika goes a bit harder, veering towards techno with metallic edges and a relentless groove, balanced nicely with another subtle vocal. 

JT changes things up with a skippy broken beat to start off, before settling into a bass heavy wobbler that will surprise and excite a lot of audiences.

FUSE London resident, Seb Zito, is experiencing something of a purple patch currently, and his new EP, ‘4 Ever’, on Richy Ahmed’s Four Thirty Two label, follows releases for Eats Everything’s Edible, Seth Troxler’s Play It Say It and Enzo Siragusa’s FUSE London label, as well as his own Seven Dials Records.
 
Incorporating Sabrina Johnston’s vocal, from Key of Life’s 1994 Sub-Urban Records classic, Zito rolls out a swinging, bass heavy, house heater.  Deploying piano riffs and looped vocals, Zito also functions an ace Dub Mix for the heads.
 
Label boss, Richy Ahmed, shows off his garage chops on his remix of ‘4 Ever’, with a tough, swinging drum mix that doffs its cap to the classic New Jersey house sounds.
 
A second original production by Zito, ‘We Need Love’, continues to pursue the unison of garage house sounds, and the techier, acid inflicted vibes that has become a staple sound for this hotly tipped producer & DJ.  Robert James  & Jack Michael join the fold with a pacey and energetic version, resplendent with Reese style bass and truncated vocals.
