With the constant barrage of noise from 'man made' things, fighting for our attention every waking second, many of us forget the soft call of natures voice.
'Jeanes' Debut EP 'Sleeping Leaves' tells stories of sleeping fields, breathing trees & drunken bees.

We are delighted that Folkstock Records are going to be releasing the tracks on this EP as singles over the next few weeks and the EP on 16th June.

Written after reading a quote from Roald Dahl about eye smilers, and photographs called 'Heavenly Creatures' by Benjamin Alexander Huseby of Behati Prinsloo, Felicity Gilbert and Romina Lanaro, showing two girls asleep, entwined in a summer field. Emily Grace Zornado recorded her beautiful layered harmonies and vocals at the height of summer, near a small national park in Danielson Connecticut.

Smiles With Her Eyes is the third track on the EP. It's been cleaned up and re mastered and is available for you to listen to now.

The second single released from the new album 'To The Islands' by The Magic Lantern. 

Written at a sliding doors moment during a tumultuous return to his childhood home in Australia, the single opens with limpid, crystalline piano chords, before the surprise entry of a driving drum figure introduces the idea that another world is continually below the surface. The song propels the listener along as textures of prepared piano, bass and drums build and break like waves on the shore. Doe’s gently powerful vocal drifts over the pulsing band, drawing on the the poetic image of being alone far out at sea, to urge a message of holding fast during these uncertain times.

The Magic Lantern's third album, 'To The Islands', is due for release on 2 November 2018.

This song is off my  Edge Of The World EP  recorded in Milano with Giorgio Pasculli as producer/engineer.  It is the final product of 4 years living in Italy and writing/ performing on a classical guitar.
