Studio version of one of the first songs I ever wrote, recording for the Ghosts and Glory sessions in Portland 2012.

Flightless Bird (Album Version)

Also part of the unreleased EP Songs in a Room - Wrote this in Nicaragua on a bus. I thought a Train would be more romantic, so I called it the Train Song instead of the Bus Song. We also ended up changing up the chorus from 
"Oh poor me, none can see what's inside of me now
Oh poor me, c'mon let's see what's inside of me now"
to
"Could it be there's a good good love waiting down the line for me
'Cause I can see for miles and miles what lies ahead..." 

Later that crucial change would prove fruitful as Train Song has been a staple for me and one of my favorites on Ghosts and Glory.

Definitely a better chorus don't you think?

Latest permutation of a tune I've been kicking around for nearly a year now. This isn't the first and surely won't be the last version I try out before deciding on the final version.

Just in Time (Early Demo Version)

My first single ever...! I recorded this with my good good friend Ryan Keith in his shed way outside of Portland one blustery fall day. The song really encapsulates a lot of my writing, while also being a fledgling little first effort. Like many of my songs would be, it says "Hey! I want love SO BAD! BUT oh MAN it can hurt sometimes!
